McNair Week 4 - Possible Sleeper? (1 Viewer)

Call me crazy, but I think Steve Mcnair might be poised for a pretty solid week.

PRO's

1. "Ravens coach Brian Billick and veteran left tackle Jonathan Ogden seemed cautiously optimistic about the All-Pro returning to the lineup Sunday against the Browns in Cleveland."

- Baltimore Sun 9/28.

2. Maybe, just maybe, he's starting to feel the pressure with Kyle Boller performing well in his place. McNair was none too pleased when Boller came in last week and went 8/10 for 83yds in the 4th quarter.

3. The Browns are giving up 430 yards and 35 points per game.

4. Derrick Mason his favorite WR has increased his production week over week, going 8/79/1 against Arizona.

CON's

1. He's one sneeze away from re-injuring his groin. Start him, and your QB stats could look something like this: 4/7 75yds 0TD, 1 INT.

2. If past performance is any indicator of future results, the ravens are in trouble. Over two games (week 1 and week 3, neither of which he finished) he's accumulated 400 yds 1 TD, and 1 INT.

3. Boller has filled in admirably in his place.

OVERALL:

I think McNair toughs it out against a pretty weak Cleveland D. 225 passing 2 TD, 1 INT. Not bad for a bye-week replacement.

5. Jaws (Ron Jaworski) who's opinion I respect more than anybody picked him as a good play this week

I'm trying to decide to play Schaub (no WR's) or pick up McNair. My fear is he comes out of the game in the first half with his groin problem, but I like the hunch :lmao:
