Meachem's TD catch, Bernard Scott's running (1 Viewer)

I forgot to DVR the game on NFL Network this morning, anyone watch it? How'd they look?

I know Meachem's catch was against backups, but I'd still like to know what type of TD it was.

 
Ah, stupid me, there's a highlight on NFL.com. Nice to see him beating a guy deep, nothing spectacular though. He didn't do it against a Rook though, beat 9 year vet Jamar Fletcher deep in single coverage.

60+ yard bomb from Brunell. Looked like the corner forgot how to cover.Only watched a bit into the third but I was impressed with what I saw out of Scott. Made Benson look like he was running in molasses. Seemed to find the holes and bust for a few extra yards, all with the semi-backup Oline (I think Collins and another starter were still in to get practice).Interested to hear how he did for the rest of the game.
 
In the highlight the announcer mentions "after that hit he took in the first quarter" in regard to Meachem... did he take another shot like his rookie year going over the middle?

Still no highlights of Scott up.

 
Meach was hit and knocked out the game when he caught his 2nd pass in the 1st ,not sure

what the injury was but he did return in the 3rd.Shame,I wanted to see more of him against the starters

 
Scott looked good. I don't see Benson finishing the season as the starter. Scott has a great opportunity.

Don't screw it up.

Crocker put a shot on him on the sideline. Between this game and Hard Knocks, Crocker is lookin pretty tough.
 
Benson looked slow, couldn't hit the corners & put the ball on the ground early. Scott was better between the tackles but the Saints did have some backups in by then. I am not sure how much he weighs, but he is almost as quick as Washington/Sproles, but not quite as quick. I thought he looked solid.

Its early but if Benson can't run against the Saints with Ochocinco, Coles & Henry at WR, what is he going to do against the Steelers or Ravens?

I noticed that Scott came out and Leonard came in on 3rd downs. The kid may have some blocking issues.

People here have questioned his toughness, so to me, the fact that he took a hard shot and came back later in the game to make a big play is a positive sign--as good a sign as the TD play.

I thought Benson looked pretty good actually.

I think I remember reading something to that effect on a scouting report for Scott.

That's also something Leonard excels at. An average blocker might get replaced by Leonard on 3rd down.

The only run I saw was that bad fumble... any other clips online anywhere?
