Maddow is pretty smart. Instead of arguing that Kelly is smarter than Maddow, I would have argued that Maddow doesn't count as a "news person" since she's more of a commentator than a reporter or anchor.

Considering the fact that Fox distorts news stories, I have a hard time calling Kelly a true anchor.

If you would bother to watch the whole thing, you might actually see what fair and balanced coverage means.

She routinely takes O'Reilly to task on legal matters, trying to keep it to the law; Bill tends to approach these stories from a "common sense/emotional" view. I don't see her spouting hard-core Republican values but I do see her as "law and order", which is not my favorite viewpoint. To say that she is stupid is unfounded and leads me to believe that the accuser(s) is(are) not watching her.Robin Meade on CNN, is smoking too but she is ditzy and her laugh, which she does at every story, is unbearable to me.

Tea-partiers obey all laws and regulations- spending money to file for the correct permits. Then they do their protest in an orderly fashion and then go home. You can compare the two groups in a lot of ways but one that you can not is their actions and how they protest.
