Mendenhall a sell high? (1 Viewer)

Right now, he is around a top ten back in most leagues. When Ben returns, what are you projecting for Mendy. I know in off season they talked about a commitment to the run, but is it going to happen? Seems like they've had a tendancy to fling the rock around with Ben over the past few years. Is Mendy a Sell High guy right now? If he is, what is his trade value? With a lot of people looking for backs right now due to injuries, might get some attractive offers.

I am a Mendy owner, pick 2.5, but with injuries, limited production, and byes coming, I won't be trading.

I don't know how bringing back a top 10 or so QB HURTS the RB. They will move the ball better, there will be more scoring chances and there will be far more likelihood in tougher games that Pitt has a lead to protect via running the ball.

He's currently a top 10 RB.

I expected him to be a top 10 RB.

I expect him to be a top 10 RB moving forward.

If there was a strategy regarding Mendenhall, it was to hope he struggled early against stacked boxes, then ride the wave when Ben came back and the defenses had to soften up against the run. Didn't really work out that way, since Mendy started well, of course.

I think he's a pure and simple hold right now. His perceived value is more or less in line with what I believe to be his actual value. If you trade him, be sure to get fair value.

He's a hold IMO.

He ran with more power & speed against Tampa than any other time I've ever seen him run. Maybe the game has slowed down for him.

I would imagine that his running lanes will only get better when Ben gets back because teams won't be able to crowd the line.

I was kind of hoping we would win the game and Mendenhall would be shut down and then shut down again against Balimore so I could steal him for when Ben comes back. I think he will be a monster when Ben returns.

Anyone who has watched the Steelers games and thinks they should sell Mendenhall now is crazy. He's clearly the #1, and he's running with both power and grace. With Ben coming back, things should only get better.

Why would you sell him while thinking the passing game would be better when Ben returns? Of course it should be, but that doesn't mean the running game goes away. In fact, it will open up even more as defenses prepare for passing and don't crowd the line. Mendy will have a huge second half.

There are not many true featured backs that are likely to get 20+ touches each week......Mendenhall is one of them. Hold, don't sell unless you get a great deal. Agree with others that Big Ben will help create more scoring opportunities.

I'm holding him. In my league, his perceived value isn't nearly high enough for me to get a return that would make it worth my while. He's the only thing holding together my RB stable.
