Mendenhall (1 Viewer)

fumblinhall won't be able to hold onto the football long enough to get past his own line.
Dude, the chimp-like "fumble" deal is getting old. Fumbling is important on the grand scheme. But if anyone really thinks that's a huge issue in this case, they're buying the anti-Mendenhall hype. Which is plentiful suddenly.

Last year on MNF, the Steelers hosted the Ravens and celebrated their 75th anniversary. It was a magical night for the Steelers and their fans. Not sure the Steelers can recreate the magic of that night, but if they can work the Steelers faithful into another frenzy, that could help them

tremendously. Heinz field was amped like it never was before. They may need this element again this week, as their defensive line has two starters out.

For this Monday night's game, the Steelers will again be wearing their throwback uniforms.

This will give all the fanboys an excuse for why his career will be such a disappointment. "If he hadn't played the stingy, angry Ravens in his first start..."(This is directed at EBF)
I think the bar is set fairly @<20/50/0 stinks vs Ravens20/70/0 is O.K. vs Ravens>20/90/0 is good vs. Ravens>25/120/2 and you agree to get on your knees in front of Mendenhall.Sounds fair to me.

If a text message is what it takes to motivate an NFL player then maybe they're in the wrong line of work.
 Does anyone here believe the Ravens weren't going to be motivated to stop Mendenhall on Monday until this text message? I am sure the Ravens will use it as fodder for trash talking but aside from that it will have zero impact on the game.

Ray Lewis is a Washup has been, can't wait to see Mendy run his ### over. :excited:
CRAP!!! Now that's two jinxes on him... maybe I should bench him afterall.
Ray Lewis is certainly past his time, but he has more than enough left in the tank to plant Mendenhall in the turf.
Perhaps... after someone else has made the tackle. I bet Ray Lewis has been credited with more phantom tackles in the history of the NFL.

I think the last thing Mendenhall does in this game is fumbles.

If anything, hell sacrifice trying to get extra yards to make sure hes protecting the ball and doesnt fumble. He knows he cant do it, and im sure Tomlin has reiterated this over turning a 3 yard gain into 4 yards or something

Id almost say its more likely that hes gets the 100 yards than fumbles.

This is the 57th post in this thread.

I checked the previous 56 posts pretty carefully.

I'm a bit surprised that no one has even thrown out, as Rice and Mendenhall are apparently friends, that this was probably nothing more than a bit of friendly trash talking between two friends.

I'm sorry, but does anyone out there REALLY believe Mendenhall is foolish enough to have been serious about that text message?

:lmao: This is being way overblown by the media and if Bart Scott and Ray-Ray need a text message from a buddy of a teammate to get motivated to play a game that is for 1st place in the division then they have bigger problems than trying to stop Mendenhall.

:goodposting: The suggestion that this will cause the Ravens D to shift its game focus is, to put it politely, a bit of a stretch. Way overblown by certain parties.
