i taped it, watched fringe, then the shield, and came back to watch this.

i really liked the pilot. good cast, good acting, and a likeable character.

anyone else?

Watched it. It's a decent time waster. I think it will entertain more than it misses. Aside from that, its not going to be winning any critical awards but if you have space on the DVR and time for more TV, it will serve its purpose.

I liked the first show, thought it was very well done, and will keep watching. I don't like Psych at all. So...YMMV.

Rolling the dice with new shows on network anymore though, you're always wondering if you're watching something that will be canceled by October.

I saw previews for it. So it's basically Psych without the silliness right? I'll stick to Psych.
My thoughts exactly. They just took Psych and made it serious. Seems like a pretty lame premise if it's not a comedy. I'll pass.
I will say though they didn't make it all serious. They are fallowing the 'House' formula of the quirky, kinda mean-funny, but endearing main character. Like I said, they intrigued me enough to get me to watch again.

I thought the main character's dialogue was very Josh Weadon like.

Have no idea what "Psych" is.

You guys are so sure of yourselves, that people sit home and watch everything, huh?

I liked The Mentalist a lot and I will continue to dvr and watch it.

Psych is a show on the USA Network about a guy who helps the local police department solves crimes by pretending to be a psychic, but really just has extraordinary observation skills.

I like Simon Baker and liked this show - it does have "quirk potential"

I don't like Psych. It isn't even the same premise. He is not pretending to be a psychic. While he did in his past, he didn't work with the police then. He was a John Edwards-type.

 I like the fact that he used to be a John Edwards type aka fraud. It seems to me like the entire premise of this show is they are going to be chasing down "red john" and solving some other crimes while they're at it.Did "red john" really kill his wife? I can't tell if that's real or not.

I ignore everything on CBS except Amazing Race and NFL. Missed it and always will.

i thought it was real. and that was why, when he was trying to get on the case after being suspended, he said "red john is mine." also, the doctor said he was sorry about what happened to his family, even though he didn't talk about it in his session.

I'm thinking it's real too..When he was sitting with the Dr. that's what he had going through his mind, but he gave the other story and then at the end of the show, when he laid down on the mattress on the floor, there was a red john smiley face still on the wall above him.It doesn't matter anyway, they will end of killing this show like 5 episodes in, just when it's getting good and leave us hanging, like they did to me when I started watching Smith. :towelwave:

Not to be a :goodposting: but fixed

Decent show.

The second episode was about the redheaded girl that was found dead, right? I've only seen that one and the first one, so I'm guessing that is it. It hasn't made the must see list yet, but there is room considering House is the only show on that list for me, network wise.

Yep. Only two so far.

I absolutely loved the 1st episode.

The second episode was ok, but like CSI, it's going to get old fast.

It would have made a better movie than a TV series, so we don't have to see the same thing every week.

Any fans here?

Wanted to start watching it, but they are ten episodes in already.

is this a show like Prison Break or Lost that you have to follow, or can i jump in episode 11 and still enjoy it?

I watch it. It's pretty decent and you can definitely jump in and watch it at any point. Just know the head guy is a mentalist who used to be a televangelist until his family was murdered and they haven't found the guy who did it.

Now he consults with the CBI -- all the others are CBI agents.

There, now you are caught up.
