I was down in Philly today, just outside the Linc. I think guys were lining up for that game already. Lots of dolls with Owens jerseys on sticks and lighter fluid. I assume the lighter fluid was for grilling.

I wish they would have scheduled it for earlier in the year. What happens if TO is hurt or one of the teams is having a crappy year .The game would lose all of its juice. Play it week 2 and you can start hyping it now.

I think him being hurt or the game being meaningless is a very good possibility and will take some of the juice out of the game. The fans will still be extremely fired up, but I agree this game would have been better played in October.

If true, this is absolutely brilliant by the NFL. If TO is injured at the time (as you allude to), I imagine he would have to be severely hurt not to play. Unlike so called studly WRs like Moss, TO can bring game and play well when he's hurt.
