The Yankee fans booed ARod during MVP and MVP like seasons. Sorry, but Wright's been in a funk since the all-star game last year. Sure, he had the hit streak, but he's up to what, 2 HRs in that time?

But that's "The Franchise" they are booing there. I don't agree with booing anyone from a team that you root for.....so I don't defend Yanks fans who booed A-Rod and Jeter......nor do I defend Philly fans for their actions. My point is that "holier than thou" Mets fans who booed Wright are being hypocrites.

There is a difference between a week or two slump and a 3-4 month slump. At a certain point you aren't getting what were supposed to out of "the Franchise". He's supposed to be a power hitter and a run producer, he hasn't been for quite some time. The situations are very different, even still I don't know any Mets fans that were holier than thou in regards to ARod.
