So somebody will complain no matter what so why even try to do a good job? Sounds smart.Bronco Billy said:Maybe its because their fiscal year starts in April. Though I’m guessing no matter when they did it that people would still be #####ing.
Not everyone is as easy going as you are.?
I’m a sheep. Because I can manage to go 5 days in the beginning of April without accessing mfl and not losing my #### because of it. Okay, you win. It’s pretty obvious you’re incapable of taking just a step back, reassessing that just maybe you’re overreacting a bit, and realizing its just not a big deal and that you’ll be capable of surviving that very short time without mfl. Have a great day.

No you're a sheep because you pay for a service, get no warning of a scheduled shutdown when you pay and are ok with it then being scheduled at a less than ideal time. I simply want it done at the best time which would be shortly after the Superbowl. Not when player movement is happening and the draft is approaching.?

There’ve been emails and a message at the top of everyone of my leagues homepages for a week+. It sucks that they have to go offline for days at a time, but the warnings were there for you to prepare to spend your time elsewhere. No you're a sheep because you pay for a service, get no warning of a scheduled shutdown when you pay and are ok with it then being scheduled at a less than ideal time. AndI know of the expense with writing code and the economics of business. I think there is very little argument that this is the opportune time to update. That's all I brought up. You then went off about relaxing, entitlement and worrying about generations. You then want me to reassess overreacting? Lol ok.
I received no email and a week's notice is ?. I paid a long time ago. I have plenty of things to do, my problem is their timing. As a paying customer I'm allowed to complain when they do something stupid. It has 0 to do with a life or relaxing. There’ve been emails and a message at the top of everyone of my leagues homepages for a week+. Agree timing could be better but there has been a message at the top when you get on the site for atleast two weeks prior. Maybe you have it shut off, dunno.I received no email and a week's notice is ?. I paid a long time ago. I have plenty of things to do, my problem is their timing. An element of constructive feedback that should be delivered to mfl is to put the banner on every page rather than the home page.Actually I just bookmark the roster page and don't go to the home page too often. I really only go to the site to see rosters and make trades in the off-season.
I actually think mfl is fantastic. I just think their timing on this is ridiculous. Why everyone has a problem with that seems absurd to me.
No, I don't need to relax, find a new site or reassess my life choices. I simply would prefer the update be done mid-February. Why the "they feed my kids" auto defense? Can someone not question the timing on something?
Yeah, like you. Posting on a message board, living it up.For people who have no idea of the specifics of what is being done, their business model, their fiscal year, and their financials, you guys sure are experts on how mfl should run its business.
Seriously, just find something else to do beside sitting on mfl for the next 5 days. Take a walk. Rent some porn. Have a conversation with your wife. Something. For Pete’s sake.
The thing is, they are down for a week or whatever. Nothing can be done unless you want to move to a different site. The timing is baffling, I agree on that, but there's nothing you can do. This will all be forgotten in a week.Actually I just bookmark the roster page and don't go to the home page too often. I really only go to the site to see rosters and make trades in the off-season.

My excuse for what? I'm high but I'm pretty sure you're making no sense. Maybe it's time you walked your wife and had a conversation with your dog. Get out a little. And if FBGs were down for any reason, my life would go on without one cross word towards them. If they are down, there’s a good reason. They want to be up and running 24/7.
What’s your excuse?

The update has been advertised for at least 2 weeks. Yes the timing sucks but maybe they weren’t ready to do the full update until now? I assume the update involves multiple teams working together on various projects not all of which were complete at the same time. If 1 key planned update gets delayed (happens all the time in business) then the entire project is delayed. I mean it’s not like there is just an easy button.
Well I gave a possible explanation as to why, I’m sure there are many others as well.
I don't know why they couldn't do it in March while we're occupied with Madness but at least it's before the draft.
Message up now saying they hope to be back up no later than Tuesday morning

Until Wednesday rolls around and they're not up.One of the cardinale rules of good business: Underpromise and Overdeliver.
True but I’ve heard this isn’t as extensive an updateUntil Wednesday rolls around and they're not up.
This has happened before
We haven’t paid for our league yet - and there was advanced notice that this would happen. No you're a sheep because you pay for a service, get no warning of a scheduled shutdown when you pay and are ok with it then being scheduled at a less than ideal time. So if they do it between week 12 and 14 that's also ok as long as they tell you in week 10? It's ridiculous timing, that's all I'm saying. We haven’t paid for our league yet - and there was advanced notice that this would happen.
Huh? I didn’t say anything even close to that.So if they do it between week 12 and 14 that's also ok as long as they tell you in week 10? It's ridiculous timing, that's all I'm saying.
Totally the same thingSo if they do it between week 12 and 14 that's also ok as long as they tell you in week 10? It's ridiculous timing, that's all I'm saying.

Don't be ridiculous. I've spent about ten minutes on this thread. 5 while the wife was walking around Tj Maxx. My kids are a senior and junior in college and I'm in the upper 20% of investors. We go on a cruise for our 25th anniversary later this year and have a trip booked next month for fun. Don't worry, I'm pretty up on everything in my life. And I don't service the furnace in February but I'm sure mfl would.4 pages of this thread is what's ridiculous. Spend some time with the wife and kid, or if you're single, go find a wife and have some kids.

Wife manages a wing at a retirement village. They are decorating a room for prospective buyers. She has a $6500 budget. $400 left for some wall decorations. Where would you go genius?Bragging about being "upper 20% of investors" in the same post where you're talking about shopping at TJ Maxx. Look out for this baller
Nope I just like things done right.
