Ok, I'm a new MFL user and I am thoroughly confused on the way to set-up our waivers/free agents. Our waivers are simple but I don't see an option that appears to state it the same way I would.

Sunday 1:00 pm - Wednesday 6:59 pm - Waiver claims entered by teams

Wednesday 7:00 pm - Waiver claims processed

Wednesday 7:01 pm - Sunday 12:59 pm - All players not claimed are free agents.

The confusion I have says that FCFS free agents ends at kickoff of the first game which is sometimes Thursday. We don't want this, we always want to be able to claim free agents until the Sunday games start.

Also, anyone dropped during the week either in waivers or free agents are not eligible to be picked up until the next waiver processing??

Help would be appreciated.

If you go to the MFL Support Forums from the Links on top of your MFL homepage, you will have more information and answers and I am sure you will find the answers to waivers that you are looking for. This is a common point of confusion.

you have plenty of company! this has been their achilles heel for many years yet they refuse to fix it. it's still a great overall league mgt system though. anyway yes, open up a ticket, their customer spt has always been great.

My league has the exact same rules. This is how I have it set up.

For Commissioners -> Setup -> Waiver Rules Calendar Setup (under Transactions Setup)

Create a new event

Event Type - drop down - Waiver Request - Starts at - Sep 13 2009 - 1:00pm -

Event Ends At - Never

Event Happens - This Time and.....

Create another new event

Event Type - drop down - FCFS Waivers - Starts at - Sep 16 2009 - 7:00pm -

Event Ends At - Never

Event Happens - This Time and.....

Starting the FCFS Waivers automatically processes the Waivers Requests @ 7:00 pm Wednesdays.

I would also mark the following item as "YES" under Transactions Setup > Waivers/Free Agents Setup.

'Prevent Owners From Making FCFS Waivers/Free Agent Moves Between Kickoff of that player's game and the end of the last game of the week?'

This means that owners can not pick up a player who has already started a game Thursday-Saturday. All other players would be available until Sunday at 12:59 PM ET.
