I heard on the radio this morning that people are already lining up for tickets, and the gates don't open for another seven hours! Classes are in session, so the parking lots will be full. I'm sure non-students will be trying to park in the lots, thus preventing students from getting to class (yes, I'm sure there ARE a few of those studious-types still around ). My coworker was telling me she heard on the radio that emergency vehicles are already having problems getting around because of the crowd gathering.Yup, this should be fun! Who needs terrorists?! Just offer free tickets to a MNF game and let the chaos ensue! This could be a sad day...for the Cardinals that is. If the logistical problems turn out not to be all that bad, there could be 72,000 fans attending a football game in that stadium, something the Cardinals can only dream about! Makes one wonder that if they gave away tickets, would anyone go to a Cardinals' game? lol :rotflmao:If any of you are planning to attend, and haven't attended a game there recently, keep "airport security" in mind and you won't have any problems. The list of items you can bring in is very short. One (1) unopened bottle of water per person and no food other than snacks (ie a baggie full of peanuts) are the main items. Your purses/backpacks will be searched so you might want to leave them behind. Cleavage and a miniskirt will get you strip-searched (be sure to get pics and post 'em). You know, the usual BS. I wouldn't try to park anywhere near the stadium. My suggestion, park to the west of the stadium down 5th Street, west of the railroad tracks in the neighborhood areas. It'll be about a half-mile hike, but there are bicycle taxis available if you so desire. There are at least three bars along this route, including Hooters, so that should help ease your hiking woes.
I agree with Zipper.Free events suck because every trailer toting lowlife in a hundred mile radius will show up drunk. Even selling the tix for 5 bucks would weed some of that out.I hope the MNF crew pans the audience a few times and show close-ups on all the brawls.
