didn't look good. too bad for himMichael Bush just broke his leg in the UK/U of L game, He was carted off and they put an air cast on while he was still on the field. I am a huge UK fan, but this is a big blow to the Cards and Bush.
It is his shin bone. He is done for the year and has an up hill battle. But if McGahee can make it then all things are possible.Just said broken tibia...medical guys help us if you will.
Thanks.Tibia is your shin. It's about 10 weeks in a cast. Full recovery is almost always the case. It sucks that it hurts his team and his last college season, but it won't hinder him at all from being the player that he was going to be in the nfl.
Yes, it's a damn shame.I'll still be watching him for next year.that stinks. I feel bad for him. Many had high hopes for him this year
It will be tough for UL without Bush, but they are a talented team and have a tremendous coach...UL will be fine.Michael Bush just broke his leg in the UK/U of L game, He was carted off and they put an air cast on while he was still on the field. Tibia is not your shin bone.. its one of the bones behind it.. cant remeber if its the large or smaller one. Nothing big as far as rehab from what i remember when i got both my Tibia and Fibia broken 15 years ago. 4-6 weeks in a regular cast nother 3-4 in a walking cast. No problems running afterward.Thanks.Tibia is your shin. It's about 10 weeks in a cast. Full recovery is almost always the case. The tiba is your shin bone. Bad News is that it's the large bone that supports all your weight. The fibula is the small bone that is used for mostly muscle attachments. It was a shame to be in a blow out game. The good news is that this is better, in fact a lot better than him tearing up his knee. S. Smith broke his leg and the next year tore up the NFL. There is no rehab that really needs to be done. You just need the time to heal. This injury will affect where he will be taken in the draft, and someone will get a steal if he drops because of this.Tibia is not your shin bone.. its one of the bones behind it.. cant remeber if its the large or smaller one. that sig is definitely against the rules...:reported:Yeah that sucks since his passed on the draft last year. I'll be sporting this sig all season...![]()
It was pretty obvious what the injury was, just a matter of time until it was confirmed.B. NuggetI'm surprised they released information about his injury.I thought that was usually hush hush when it comes to a college player. And if the player chooses, he can block all releases of any medical information. Not that they normally do, I just remember it's usually a few days before you know anything.Maybe I've had too manys
Enter the draft - see Willis McGahee. If he can do well at the combine he'll be just fine come draft day.Soooo, medical redshirt, or come out in the draft?I gotta think he takes the redshirt. Too much money on the line to not, right? (He wouldn't go anywhere near as high in the draft this season, than if he would have a good season in school next year and come out in '08, right?).
Not sure how it impacts him or what he'll decide. I saw him as a mid-round talent myself (others see him much higher). I think the size factor gets weighed far too heavily this day in age of RB's. I'm not a big fan of the tall, large RB's that are just huge targets to take direct blows each and every time and are more susceptible to the leg injuries. My preference is to take the 5'10-5'11 (in the breed of Cadillac Williams) with lots of wiggle over the big guys (in the breed of Stephen Jackson). It's much easier for the shorter RB's to get down and take the blow to the pads than it is for these taller backs to get down and more often than not are taking the blows to their knees/leg area. You don't see many of the over 6 foot RB's with great leg drive or great ability to change direction on a dime.Soooo, medical redshirt, or come out in the draft?I gotta think he takes the redshirt.
