It all comes down to his performance at the combine and team workouts. Willis McGahee had a much worse injury and a much shorter period of time to recouperate...and he still went in the first round.

Maybe he should get Drew Rosenhaus to pretend to get calls for him at the draft too.

It's a slim possibility - but he could redshirt this season... and if recovery is not going well (which I would doubt highly - it's a broken leg / not torn ligaments) up until January - he gets back to school...

It's very slim - but it's possible...

I heard around 8 months out this morning - that puts him rehabbed around May 1 - if nothing else his stock drops, McGahee comparisons aside. Maybe he's a quick healer, but I also heard last night he had a $2M insurance policy. A couple of million in the bank certainly gives him the option of rehabbing the right way, playing his senior season and improving his draft stock.

If he does not redshirt, he'll be judged on his combine & workout sessions. He is a beast though

Apparently I'm the only one who isnt really impressed with Michael Bush. He is a 6-4 250 pound back with average power and speed. He made a living playing the likes of Kentucky, Cincinnati, and South Florida.

His best game last season was against West Virginia...37 carries for 159 yards and 4 TDs. 3 Receptions for 19 yards.

Marcus Vick was 15/17 with 177 yards and 2 touchdowns against the same West Virgina team, does that make him a NFL quarterback?Furthermore in West Virgina's Bowl game Thomas Brown 9 78 1DJ Shockley 8 71 0Kregg Lumpkin 9 67 1That's an average of 8.3 yards per carry. It looks like Bush wasnt the only one to get fat off of their defense.

Yeah plus I think he only sported a 4.3 YPC. He definately had a softer schedule than the other top RB prospects but that can't be overvalued.

The policy only pays out if you have a career ending injury. Which is why mcgahee didn't see a dime of the 3.5 mil policy he had

It's a shame, but I think he still goes late round 1/early round 2. He's shown enough and this assumes that his broken tibia heals without complication.

Michael Bush is big, but is surprisingly fast. He reminds me of a poor man's Jamal Lewis in terms of size/speed ratio and running ability. That said he's not my favorite back for the 2007 draft; my top-4 ranking of college RBs is:

1. Adrian Peterson

2. Marshawn Lynch

3. Kenny Irons

4. Michael Bush
