Michael Crabtree Will Win ROY (1 Viewer)

brought to you by the guy whose only other prediction on this board was Daunte blowing up vs the Fins while on the Raiders.

No rookie has done anything yet. A TD this week gets the attention, a monster game within the next 3 weeks puts him at the head of the pack.

Can't see this. An 8-8 record would all but gaurentee Sanchez the ROY award, and 8 wins is probably the floor for a fairly talented Jets team. Also, unless he blewup for 800+ yards, I'd have a hard time giving an award like this to a guy who held out the first 1/3 of the season.

Laurinaitis might beg to differ

On offense though Moreno is the clear winner

With Broncos winning and Moreno as their lead RB, it'll be hard to supplant him as ROY.

Sanchez has an outside chance of re-entering the race. If Laurinaitis wasn't on such a crappy team, his name could be in the mix, as well.

The shine is off Sanchez but he will continue to be the front runner for OROY unless he throw's 5 INT's a game for the rest of the season. Plus voting is biased towards the earlier part of a season, he's a QB and he has the edge of playing for a high profile NY team.

I think Laurinaitis will probably end up DROY but Cushing has been better. Especially when you consider Laurinaitis is on an island in a defensive wasteland racking up his stats. Cushing is competing against a former DROY and pro-bowler in DeMeco Ryans, still leads the Texans in tackles and is currently slightly ahead of Laurinaitis in stats.

Lot of football left. I think Harvin still is right in the race for ROY. I am sssuming health, and that his role will increase as the season progresses - and that the Vikes will keep winning.

Cushing is contributing just as much but plays on a team that is winning some games. Was late by one post haha
Don't count out Curry yet either. While he's had a bit of a slow start, he's been playing solidly and getting markedly better every game, much like Tatupu did his rookie year (he came in 2nd to Merriman). With Tatupu out for the season, I see Curry having to step up.Unless whoever the SF QB is turns into Brees or Brady for the rest of the season, I think Curry also has a better chance at OROY than Crabtree.

Not ready to jump into the ROY talk.

But you just have to laugh at Raider fan saying the Raiders Al Davis knew what he was doing. DHB has 2 catches on 22 targets, Crabtree has 2 catches on 2 targets. Ya Raider fan, you guys are so freaking smart. NOT!

Others for consideration:

Michael Oher (LT-Ravens)

Brian Cushing (LB-Texans)

Clay Matthews (LB-Packers)

Not as sexy as Harvin but worth consideration in the big picture.

5/56 for Crabtree is extremely solid for his opener. It could have been 6/73 without a motion penalty on Morgan.

As a Packer fan watching Clay Matthews, I've gotta say that guy is legit. We'll see for DROY.
