Michael Turner owners (1 Viewer)

In my case, he's my #2 RB, with CHris Johnson waiting at #3.

I need a better QB or a starting WR. It's probably too much to ask for Brees, bit that's the only QB I'd consider.

Otherwise I need a decent WR. Maybe I'm asking too much, but at this point he IS the #1 RB in the NFL.

In a 10 team league I got him with the 8th pick in the 4th round. If I were to trade him SU I'd want someone who went in the first 15 picks, or 2 players that went in the first 3 rounds.

I would give Brees for Turner provided I had a decent back-up.

Wow. Brees for Turner? I liked Turner a lot but couldn't get him. But I think people are overreacting. Week 1 was probably one of the very few games this season where Atlanta will have sizable first half lead. More often than not they will be trailing in games thus limiting Turner's opportunities. I think he finishes as in the RB8-12 range.

I dealt Turner for Peyton Manning in one league, in large part because the other guy had Rivers behind Manning.

Very, VERY happy with that kind of return. I think Turner will be very good this year, but it wouldn't surprise me if week 1 wasn't his best of the year.

If I had Turner I'd sell that guy so high he'd need a parachute to get on the other roster. I stayed away because I didn't like his situation, and I still don't. Maybe I'm wrong but buying Turner now seems like a bad idea, and selling him seems fantastic.

Let's see:1) It was a Falcons single-game record

2) I think it was the best opening day in NFL history (seem to recall Eddie George had the mark at 216, but I could be wrong).

3) 220 yards is probably a top 25 all-time performance.

4) And two touchdowns.

No, I don't think he'll top this single-game performance the rest of the year either.

Dont go out on that limb too much. :goodposting: It's kinda hard to do what Turner did in week 1, it wouldnt surprise me if 99% of the RB's in the NFL cant duplicate a game like that this year. But as a Turner owner, I wont be the least disappointed if he doesnt run for 200 yds in a game again... call me easy to please.

I don't think he smells what he did week 1 again. As an owner I hope I'm wrong but I think the stars really alligned for that one. BUT I am expecting 100 total yds and a touch on a weekly basis and I'll take that for my RB2.

And yea I'd trade him high if I could.

I'm feeling very fortunate he was my keeper this year so I got him in the 16th round ;)

Just got offered Housh for Turner.

Not sure I can pull the trigger given how poor Cincy looked and how great Turner looked.

??????

I just turned this offer down in one of my PPR leagues. I countered with James for Housh, and the Housh owner bit. I felt that was pretty even. Turner's upside made it too hard for me to trade him for a Bengal.

I don't know what it would take. I doubt anyone in my league would give me something that improved my starters. I went WR/WR (Moss/Owens) and then picked Turner, T Jones, S Young. My QBs are Anderson/Rivers and my 3rd WR is Cotchery. TEs are not required. Everyone in my league went heavy RB the first few rounds. Behind Turner/Jones my rb corp is a bit weak. Shanny is doing a serious RBBC with Pittman, Young, and Hall all getting carries. I have Young and Hall but neither is panning out too well. I also feel Turner will have a great year. At the very least I'm willing to wait a couple weeks to sell him as he has Tampa and then the Chiefs coming up.

I need a strong QB1. I have a QBBC (Garrard/Shaub). I would consider WR if the right guy was there. Seems like a lot of folks are more interested in BJacobs, but nothing worthwhile has come across yet.

He did most of his damage in the first quarter. Atlanta is a run-first team, especially with Ryan under center. The problem with the sizable lead was a healthy dose of Jerious Norwood late in the game. Didn't like seeing that one bit, even though it was expected. Maybe I was just hoping they were lying about getting Norwood more involved. Then again, they won't be playing the Lions every week.

I am excited about his year, but still cautious behind that O-line.

Wrong attitude....Should always being willing to sell....but the price needs to right....
Apprently this requires being specific. If I were offered AP, LT, Addai, Edwards, etc. for him sure. But it's not likely you can land a top 10-12 overall player for him. So I'm holding him as I think he'll be a top 10-12 overall player going forward and into 2009.So, in other words, I'm not selling him.

I would sell him for Westbrook. That's it.Understand that he may have peaked, but right now, he's a lottery ticket. You don't give away lottery tickets.

I wish I knew someone who would dump him for Edwards.

I was offered Torry Holt and Earnest Graham for Marques Colston and Michael Turner. Keeper league. Horrible offer IMHO.

I may actually have an "unsellable" Turner this year. I get him for 3 more years if I choose so based on our keeper rules and that I got him in the 18th rd. of our draft last year.

I just offered T. Edwards, Turner and S. Holmes for Rivers, Chris Johnson and B. Marshall.

:lmao:
Nice offer. The other guy gets downgraded at every position. I'm sure he'll jump on that "accept" button right away.
I don't see Turner as a "downgrade" from Johnson, especially in a redraft.
That's what I was thinking. Perceived redraft value of Turner is much higher than Johnson outside of this forum.eta: and if you add up FBG's top 250 forward trade values I lose in the deal.

I'd be willing to trade Turner for someone like Lynch. Imo, he's better at this point than Portis or LJ (that remains to be seen long-term), but in the league which I own Turner, there is no way I'd get into the upper tier RBs like Barber, SJax, Addai for him, so I'm willing to camp on him at this point.

I took a gamble in that league anyways, so I'm going to see it through. I went TO/Wayne in rounds 1/2, then drafted Turner/McFadden/Edge/CJ3, and added some extra "backup" depth in S Morris and D Ward.

No one seems willing to bite on Turner or CJ3 (or any package deal involving McF or CJ3) in my league, as people cling to their players' draft positions too tightly, so like it or not, I'm stuck with him. At this point, I "like".

I realize you didn't mean this, but what you said implies you believe Turner will have better games ahead.

I traded Turner today for Owens. I am still trying to justify the depth versus starters debate within my mind. I probably messed up but in a 12 team league I think the balance of power resides in your starters. It is a dynasty (5 keepers), PPR and salary cap league. *denotes starter barring injury or bye week

*QB Rodgers

QB Rivers

*RB Bush

*RB CJ3

RB Norwood

RB S.Morris

*WR Wayne

*WR Owens

*WR Jennings

WR B Johnson

WR R Meachem

*TE Gates

*K Kaeding

*DEF/ST Dallas

Just out of interest, David Dodds' projections in for PPR leagues suggest Julius Jones should be started over him, and Turner is the 22-ranked RB this week. I'm all for playing the match-ups, but I'm not so sure about that one...

I have no doubt this time next week Turner is going to be worth about 60% of what he is now.
:goodposting: So what's he worth now? According to the sharks, not much more than he was on draft day. He ripped through the worst team in the league, he has no QB, and a terrible offensive line....remember? So I guess, he should pull down a decent 8th or 9th rounder. Should I move him now for Lee Evans or Coles? Or go back up QB and get Schaub or Warner?

You can check my avatar, and have your grain of salt. You will almost certainly regret trading Turner. This guy is for real, the oline is better than you (or I) thought, and this team is chomping at the bit to play for this coach.

4) And two touchdowns.

Don't forget the TD turner had called back for holding

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I have not been offered any trades for Turner yet. Not sure if I will. But, I am good right now at most positions. Dont know what someone could offer except upgrades at backups. Here are my starters:

Cutler

FWP

Turner

Moss

Wayne

Calvin Johnson

Vinatieri

Giants

I think I am good until injury problems and/or bye weeks.
