Michael Vick to the Philadelphia Eagles (1 Viewer)

add a reason to hate Philly, unless they boo Vick every time he touches the ball
As a Giants fan, I didn't need another reason to hate the Eagles. As a guy who drafted Vick with my last pick in my rookie/FA draft as a "What the Hell" pick, I'm  as what to think.

Good move. Not super-high on Kolb, although, I kinda like him simply because I'm down on McNabb. I'm WAY more bearish on McNabb than most people. I believe he's extremely overrated at this point in his career. Not saying Vick is necessarily being brought in to challenge McNabb in 2010, or if he's even the answer, but it could possibly work out that way.

I think it's a combination of wanting Vick to run the Wildcat as well as insurance for McNabb. As far as how this will affect the other skill-position players (besides McNabb), I don't believe it'll impact anybody negatively. This could help their offense for sure, tho (depending on how quickly/effectively Vick gets integrated into the Wildcat....if that's what they decide to do).

The only way it could ever workout that way is if Andy Ried leaves town.

 Glad he's back and I hope he does well :hifive:
Why? really why would you be glad that of all people in the world of the NFL would you be happy about a dog killing thug being back in the NFL. Shame on Philly, shame, shame, shame.

The Eagles can use Vick. They've been playing the same offense for the last 6 years. They need something every other team doesn't have film on.

Vick = :unsure:

Book It.

Exactly. Could be dealt after this season as well.

Don't like the guy for what he did .The guy is not a good QB. The west coast offense does not fit his skills.

Other then that great signing

Has not been a good training camp for the birds and now they get a big distraction. Not sure what they are planning for Vick but we'll see.

:rolleyes:Very interesting signing. How are Philly fans feeling about it?
Vick's easy to boo if he isn't on your team. If he is (like Deion), it's all cheers.
On a personal level, I think I'm going to root for him just because so many other people seem to be out for blood. I'm very interested to see what the Eagles have planned on the field. MNF guys had a great point -- no way they didn't run this by McNabb beforehand, right?

Hate it. Think Vick is one of the most overrated QBs out there. Already enough drama with the injuries to the OL and Westbrook. Don't know if this means Kolb is hurt worse than they're letting on or the FO is starting to share the opinion of some on the MB regarding Kolb's abilities.

I don't know what to think. Didn't think for a second he would come to Philly.

I would hope they talked McNabb about this so he doesn't get upset. Although I can't see Vick being better then McNabb this year.

I'm not worried about any distractions this is a strong team and Andy will handle that part well.

Hope he helps the team.

I doubt this has any impact on McNabb. Vick probably will see the field for maybe 3-4 plays a game at most as a run-pass option, not unlike what DeSean Jackson did last season, though he'll see slightly more time. If anything this tells me that the idea that Kevin Kolb is the Eagles future is out the window.

As much as Vick gets ripped for being a poor passer, he's still proven to be a lot better than anything Kolb has shown, good move by the Eagles to get a major upgrade at backup QB. I hope it doesn't upset team chemistry in the process, but I doubt Vick will be on anything but his very best behavior.

I don't think this changes the fantasy value of anyone on the Eagles.
