Yes, the Puffington Post is by and large both written by, and read by, people in need of a serious reality check. YMMV. :P
Um...unless they are just making things up those appear to be actual quotes from Bachmann.
:lmao:
Wouldn't know. Didn't read.

That's okay. Not many of her backers know how to.

Won't matter when they are all raptured, which sounds like its right around the corner.

Wood still bang.
Careful dude....that's somebody's deranged termagant we're talking about here.

Weren't there actual FBGs that supported this clown?
Thanks for expanding my vocabulary. As for Bachman, her brand of idiocy has always defied my comprehension. That she can be elected while having been outspoken indicts our process. That she is representative of a large enough coalition to get elected to office is frightening. To think, her voters, those idiots, could be beside you on the road today, or sorting your medicine at the pharmacy, or god forbid, teaching your children.

She scares me more than nukes because I have seen the harm of which she is capable, while nukes, well I have only read about those.

I'm confused on her comments about Obama cutting the legs out from under Israel.

She claims his actions are going to bring about the rapture. I thought Israel welcomes the rapture. Shouldn't they be giving him a prize or something for bringing about the end times?

What blows my mind is that the normally reasonable people of Minnesota have elected her four times - this must be the whackjob area of the state:

The Minnesota Sixth District covers the northern suburbs of the Twin Cities and extends northwest across rural areas to include St. Cloud.

Pretty sure Israel doesn't welcome the Rapture.

They only pretend to for the tourist money.

Any articles about what Israeli's think of these American nutcases coming to Israel to pray for the world to be destroyed?

Christians do. If the the President is expediting the rapture, she should be happy about that.

Her husbands family are odd people. Her husband has two brothers that live on the family farm and they've been getting government subsidies for years making tons of money. But, the brothers live poor and make there own porridge to eat. The two don't talk to others and live a very secluded life.

I didn't think her husband followed that closely to religion as his brothers but it sure sounds like all these ducks swim in the same pond. I can tell you though his mother is great to talk with. She's funny and from, I believe, Sweden. Great old lady. Must be near 90 now.

Guys like Andy Dufresne and Melly have voted for her repeatedly. She's benefitted from never having faced much competition (see Walker, Scott), but there really isn't any excuse the third and fourth go-around.

Her husband is the biggest closet queen you will ever find.

She can't even make her own crazy work.

She's nuts. And she might be tying the Rapture to Obama's Iran policy.

But in the vacuum that is that article, you can't really say that she is. It takes two quotes and connects them. But it's not one single quote that Hufffpo is citing.

But it is red meat so that's all that matters.

Exhibit A: She appears on a show called "End Times"

Exhibit B: She said this: “We need to realize how close this clock is getting to the midnight hour.”

Exhibit C: She said this: "Barack Obama is intent. It is his number one goal to ensure that Iran has a nuclear weapon.”

She is a ####### loon.

But that's not the same thing as her saying "The Rapture is coming and it's Obama's fault".

It's better said that Huffpo sums up her comments as such.

But none of that discounts the fact that I agreed she's crazy.

Put another way:

A: All Christians can posit that they might be living in the end times

B: Christian theology posits that nations that follow God's laws receive his blessing and ones that don't, don't.

C: Obama seems to some that he's getting played by the Iranians. A nuclear equipped Iran is a threat to some/a lot of people.

Honestly, anything uttered out of her mouth past "The Rapture is coming" is completely irrelevant. That sentence alone is enough to prove her craziness, which you've agreed to as well. She needs to be in a home.

Do you think anyone that believes in the Rapture is crazy and needs to be in a home?

Kind of. :oldunsure:
Well I agree, but that doesn't have anything to do with Bachmann.
It does if she is publicly predicting the rapture upon us. Is this some sort of Jedi Mind Trick?

More quotes from that "End Times" interview here. In one instant she's saying it will be any minute now, then goes on to explain how policies she doesn't like could negatively affect future generations.

Would not do.
