Mike Bell vs. Mike Bush (1 Viewer)

Bell had a great game, and is on a high-powered offense. However, the Saints are pass first and he has Bush and PT to contend with. Bush is on a run-first offense that could find itself down in games, and has to contend with McFadden and to a lesser extent Fargas. Both Bush and McFadden have proven to be injury prone. Who do you believe in more, Bell or Bush?

I'd go with Bush as well. I am pretty confident that he'll be part of the game plan throughout the season. I am not quite that confident with Bell. Would it shock anyone if PT was starting and getting the majority of the reps in week 3/4 or 5?

Bell, by a landslide. First, Cable today said that for every game, they will use two backs, and McFadden will always be one of them, implying that Bush and Fargas will take turns with different games. Weird, but that's what he said. Second, Bell is ahead of Pierre now, it seems, according to Payton. Much more explosive offense and more prominent role means Bell is a much better option than Bush.

Redraft = BellDynasty = Bush
What the Elephant said. Although even in redraft the difference is small because if McFadden is hurt Bush could be huge. I just don't have alot of faith in Bell's ability and suspect his week 1 performance was an exception. Bush is a true talent--no doubt.

I disagree completely. Now there is a 3 way rbbc in New Orleans imo. Petyon isn't going to forget about reggie and PT for Bell beating up on detriot. All that performance did was create more of a time share for carries.

There is also a three-way RBBC in Oakland, too, now that Fargas is healthy. Cable specifically said that only two backs would play and that McFadden would be one of them. Fargas will put Bush on the bench in some games. And Oakland has a much worse offense.

I have grabbed each off the WW, each in two different leagues so I'm not partial to one just because I own that one. But I like Bush more. I am not a McFadden believer. I think he is more COP than a pure running back.

Let me ask you this. If you had Russell as your QB and those RB's, what would your game plan be? I think there are plenty of carries for both of these guys in Oakland and with Bush getting the TD love I think he may be startable a good portion of the season. I'm not a Fargas believer either. I think this is thunder and lightning with Bush and McFadden.

I think when Thomas gets back in NO, it's not going to be the Bell show still. I think they split along with Reggie getting whatever he can on the ground and plenty of catches...

A rationale person would run the ball but with Al picking up the phone to call in plays and his love for the vertical passing game you never know what will happen in Oakland. That being said, I still like Bush since he is at worst part of a RBBC with McFadden (I am not worried about Fargas) whereas Bell, at best, will be part of a three headed monster in another week or two

This.Bush has much more upside IMO than Bell. Sure Bell plays in a better offense, but with the ball being spread around so much, Bell won't be getting consistent production going forward. NO can't play DET everyweek!

Cable implied yesterday that Bush will not even play at all some games. Bell will have much more "consistent production" than Bush. Crazy to think otherwise.

Mark my vote for Bell. Both have talent, both are competing for playing time with other higher profile backs, but the thing that tips the scales for me is that I have significantly more faith in the New Orleans' offense ability to continue producing good numbers from game to game than I do the Oakland offense.
