Mike Brown Bengals owner (1 Viewer)

The Bengals will suck until he is gone, probably even longer since his incompetent daughter is next up. How is the fans wanting a GM a "theme". You know what a "theme" is? 19 losing years out of 20, or whatever its at, Ive lost track. Cant stand that penny pinching *******.

I thought this quote was interesting:

I read last year one of the statistics that reflected the number of (drafted) players in the NFL by teams and we were in the top handful of teams. (Players that) had come through here. What that indicates is we're finding them.
If that's true, it's hard to fault Brown and his drafts. I'd love to see those numbers.

He strikes me as boring. His father was downright fascinating and I just find it so odd how boring Mike is. I'm not sure if that interview is also available as a video(as they often are) but if so, I dare you to try and not yawn while watching it. I've seen several over the years and ....he is flat out boring.I rarely ever get the sense that Mike realizes it's a business and that he has a product he is selling. It seems more like some ymca or boys/girls club or somesuch funded by the state so he's gotta keep costs down.

It's much more complex.Letting good players get away should be a negative that cancels out any credit for drafting a player. Drafting a poor character player that gets arrested and suspended seems like it should be a negative too. A not so good player making a not so good team, is not the same as drafting some OL that will play on the Giants OL-for example.

:) Why aren't those players, you know, actually on the Bengals roster.

Who cares if you buy the best groceries when you've still been starving to death for 20 years?

1. The fact that he was counting on Thurman and Pollack to be the starting linemen is absurd.

2. It seems that he thinks merely getting Palmer back will solve everything. Guess what? Palmer got hurt because the line sucks.

3. He assumes 0 accountability for the ineptitude of this organization.

4. He said the calls to remove him from mgmt of the organization will subside when the Bengals start winning again. How disillusioned can one by get? This isn't a call motivated by one losing season, but a history and a culture of losing. I didn't hear anyone praising Mike Brown when the Bengals won the AFCN a couple years ago.

5. I wonder if he is aware of the legacy he is creating. He's dishonoring the memory of his father IMO. Paul Brown was devoted to winning. He was a fierce competitor. Mike Brown is running this as a business not a sports franchise.
