The FBI has joined the investigation into a home owned by Michael Vick that was allegedly used as the headquarters for a dog-fighting ring.WVEC 13 in Virginia has found evidence of a dog-breeding business that has ties to Vick. Vick doesn't live in the home but reportedly could face felony charges if he knew of the illegal actions that took place there.
Out of college I really liked this guy and thought he was going to be something special. Everytime something like this happens I would tell myself...its not his fault. Im so tired of this crap! I am no longer a Vick fan and I wish the NFL would do something to this guy.......suspension. The once NFL poster child is now nothing but a thug. What a waste of tallent.

A waste of RB talent, not QB talent. He doesn't have any of that. Cross Laurent Robinson off your rookie WR sleeper list. He's gone to the WR graveyard.

The NFL hype of Vick is what I got sick of.

I liked Vick coming out of VT, then the NFL tried to cram a very mediocre QB down the throats of the fans as some sort of savior. The problem is that as exciting as Vick can be at times, he is a mid-level NFL QB at best.

Vick is fun to watch, but so is JP Losman at times. After 7 years it is what it is.

a truly great athlelte, but the attic is empty. i think vick proves once, and for all, that you need more than physical prowess to be a QB.

i think mora let him run so much last year for 2 reasons.

1. it's what he does best, so use it. he knew he was on the hot seat, so why worry about vicks developement as a passer.

2. run vick into the ground. if he gets hurt, trot out schaub.

because of his god awful high contract, vick won't be going anywhere soon. they need to find a better back up than harrington though. vick is 1 major knee injury away from uselessness

I like Vick. I probably is because he has been on my FF teams in the past during high production years. I like watching him play when he is going well, but it is tough when he is stuggling.

I agree only I blame the Media for shoving him down our throats.

I don't know him personally, but have leveraged his fantasy prowess to my advantage plenty of times.

Based on what we THINK we know of him, he probably isn't someone I would generally associate with.

Mike Vick is my nieghbor 3 houses down.I know some of you will not believe me, but it is true.We live in Duluth Georgia, and at his house there are no barking dogs or any kind of thug activity at all. He took his kid out trick or treating and came to our house, shook our hands was very polite.Other than that I hardly ever see him,he is mostly around in the early summer months, training camp is at Flowery Branch and it is only 20 min from here, but i think he was expected to be the greatest of great and fell short of our expectations. The flipping off, i think is what really bothered people around here the most.I still like him and i would not call him a thug.

As much as I think Vick is a punk and over-rated as a player, I still am not going to hold him liable for the dog incident. He's the owner, but he doesn't live there. If it were some no-name who had owned the house and rented it out, it would have been a 20 second segment on the local news.

Vick is a s*** magnet, but I'm willing to give him a pass on this one.

He's a scumbag. We've all known this for awhile now.
I was about to post those EXACT same words. The guy is a scumbag, his brother is a worse scumbag, and apparently his cousin is a scumbag too. He's immature, idiotic, and nothing is ever his fault or his problem. And he is always acting like the victim. I could care less if he fell off the face of the earth

Must not be the same house since they did find animals on site that were neglected plus evidence of dog-fighting. Vick stance is he has never been to the home.

It was a different property.

He may be a "scumbag", but I would bet that those labeling him as much know the man about as well as I do; which is to say, no better than what we see of him on sound bites in the media.

Yeah....something smells on this one...and it's not roses. Vick knew what was going on there. It's his property. And to say he is NEVER there is going to come back to haunt him...ala "I did not have sex with that woman".

How stupid does Vick think we are? Someone was financing the dog operation... that's a HUGE expensive property...and Vick clearly has an interest in Pit bulls: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m120...i_74800705/pg_4. The feds are now part of the investigation, so the truth will come out sooner rather than later.

This is called speaking in absolutes and it can be problematic. To say that "nothing" is ever his fault implies that he has taken that stance. I believe that after several of these incidents he has come out publicly and apologized. Now you can say that YOU FEEL like his apology wasn't sincere, but technically he took the blame for them in those instances. This also contradicts your comment that he "always" acts like a victim and ignores any instance where he accepted blame for his actions. It would be very hard to prove that he always acts like a victim and believes that nothing is his fault and also highly improbable.

I remember years ago in some of my fantasy football leagues people were taking him #1 or very early in the first round "Its like getting a QB and a RB" they would say. He has some skill there and his arm is pretty good but he was awfully overhyped and overrated.

Now that I hear his property was used for dog fighting and I would assume he knew about it I have no respect for the guy (never really had much to begin with) and hope he faces the strictest fines they can give him.

Let's not pretend that a person's moral fiber has anything at all to do with their football [and by proxy fantasy] prowess.Vick, as a fantasy player, continues to offer value when healthy. Last year, for example, he was the 4th best fantasy QB in standard redraft leagues. He far exceeded his ADP to boot.

I am actually in "buy low" mode on the Vick tater now...don't know him to judge him... sometimes people do things they shouldn't and sometimes loud mouths are there to let everyone else know

I can't comment on him as a person since all I know of him s what I have seen on TV. That would lead me to not think highly of him but I will refrain from judgment based on that. I do however have an opinion on him as a qb  . He should be a wr/kick returned. His talent is in his elusiveness and speed not his decision making and throwing ability. I would take Damon hoard behind a decent line before I take Vick.

definitely a reason not to like him

:boxing: He was probably the most exciting player in the NFL since Barry Sanders. Now, he's almost Vince Young without the wins, the leadership, or the character.

Vick can focus on his dog breeding during his upcoming 6 game suspension.
