Obomanu to the rescue. No practice today for BMW per fanball. Start making other plans.
Why? Obo was starting before BMW was hurt. Not like you'll get WR1 numbers, but he's still startable.Seattle WR situation starting to look like a problem to play either BMW or Obomanu.
From Rotoworld:
Seahawks WR Mike Williams (questionable, foot) is expected to play against the Panthers in Week 13.
"At this point we're counting on him playing," said coach Pete Carroll after B.M.W. returned to practice Friday. In a 4:05ET game, Seattle's receiver situation is shaping up as one to avoid in fantasy leagues. Ben Obomanu isn't an option any longer with Williams set to play, and Big Mike is unlikely to be at 100 percent against Carolina's top-seven pass defense.

Yeah, they play different positions and are used completely differently. It probably won't affect his targets and may even loosen up Obo's coverage. I also own BMW, but I won't play him. I can't afford another early exit from BMW.Why? Obo was starting before BMW was hurt. Agree. He and BMW are two totally different types or WR's, I don't see how Williams coming back is a bad thing. Seattle is behind a lot and has no run game, there's gonna be targets to go around. Obomanu hasn't gotten a ridiculous amount of looks in any game this year, he's just been making the best of the ones he's getting. Not only that but if you've been watching you know Hasselbeck is giving him chances deep, I don't expect that to changeI also find it curious why Obomanu is suddenly worthless just because BMW might play. Seattle can't run the ball and are in the thick of a playoff race (yes, it feels wrong typing that) and need to move the ball to get points to get a win. Hasselbeck has been playing well lately and spreads the ball around enough to have more than one decent WR3 option. Obomanu had 87 yards and a TD in Week 11 when BMW put up over 100 yards. The only thing that held him back before was that he wasn't starting, now that he is I don't see his value being affected that negatively even with the potential return of BMW. You won't see him blow up like he did last week, but he should still see enough looks that he's got another shot at 80 yards with a possible score.

This is a joke. Last 5 games:Seattle WR situation starting to look like a problem to play either BMW or Obomanu.

Obo's had 5-6-6 in the past three games - that includes with a healthy BMW and also a not active BMW. I don't think that we'll see much of a flux one way or the other.I like both of these guys. I'm hoping that Williams plays this week to allow me to see how they the targets work out with BMW a little hobbled and Obomanu starting to improve on a weekly basis. It will give me a week to check out the situation before the playoffs start.
Looking at your squad I don't see how u don't play obamanu. I'd play him over Ward.I like both of these guys. meh. In the CAR matchup I could see OB-man getting another 2-4 targets if BMW out. They weren't playing Carolina @ home those weeks.Obo's had 5-6-6 in the past three games - that includes with a healthy BMW and also a not active BMW. I am still considering it, but this week's points are pretty much irrelevant for me as I already have my position locked up for the playoffs with no movement in positions possible. Even if I start one of these two (although at this time, I'm starting Mike Thomas over them both with Sims-Walker out), it will be nice to see how it plays out for a week.Looking at your squad I don't see how u don't play obamanu. Stop cherry picking dude! They earned their stripes early in the year shutting down monsters such as Carson Palmer, Alex Smith/David Carr, and most importantly Todd Collins/Caleb Hanie. This is a joke. Last 5 games:Seattle WR situation starting to look like a problem to play either BMW or Obomanu.

- Delhomme of all people threw for 245. Of course he threw a pick-6. Doesn't he always?
- Flacco goes for 301/1/0 (yea top 7 pass defense)
- Josh Freeman goes 241/2/0 (yea top 7 pass defense)
- Drew Brees 253/2/1
- Bradford 191/2/0 completing 25 of 32 (yea top seven)
In ALL of these games Carolina was also torched on the ground. If they hadn't been puking blood in their run D they would have been giving up more passing stats.
Rotoworld give me a break.
Agree with this.Car passing D stats are a function of a lousy run D. That said, Seattle can't run. Obo should benefit. This is a joke. Last 5 games:Seattle WR situation starting to look like a problem to play either BMW or Obomanu.

I just can't see benching him with the amount of targets he gets. He was a full participant in practice, you can't ask for much more than that.Somehow this thread took a turn from a BMW thread to an Obo thread.I'm benching BMW this week...it's my Fantasy Super Bowl game and cant risk an in-game reinjury.Really would have liked to start a healthy BMW over a Mike Wallace vs a stingy pass D, with a gimpy QB, gimpy OL and poss heavy winds.....O well, such is life in FF
Maybe a homer can chime in here, as this might just be a personality thing that I am unaware of. But when the coach says 'he's ready' and the player says 'i'm not ready' this is a red flag and makes people uneasy at the notion that this may be coach speak gamesmanship (forcing CAR to prepare for more multiple WR sets for OB-ma and BMW at the same time, but that he is either a late scratch or plays in a limited role. Earlier this year when BMW was hurt, he played very poorly, sparingly IIRC. Now this is a different issue (i think) but that's not a 'warrior'-like track record. If this was westbrook/andre johnson, hines ward I wouldn't think twice.but i do know i'm playing ob-man, just not if i'm playing both.I just can't see benching him with the amount of targets he gets.
