Mini Helmets for a fantasy league (1 Viewer)

Have any of you ever ordered mini helmets with your fantasy teams' customized logos on them for your fantasy leagues?

Our league has been around forever, so I thought it might be kind of fun to order a couple for our long-time owners.

If so, any recommendations you can make (or ones to stay away from)? TIA for your help.

We got some in time for our draft and the summer sun did damage to the glue and plastic and...wasn't a good experience.

Not saying the site. I think it wasn't their fault just bad luck. Nonetheless let me recommend ya don't get it shipped mid 100 degree weather

In middle school, a buddy and I would play full seasons of games with these mini helmets by "rolling them" and if they landed right side up they scored a TD. We would do two rolls each quarter and see who won. Crazy enough the Browns won a lot so we were thinking the helmet was weighted just a bit different to land right side up more often than the others.

Things we would do before internet and video games. Had to make our own games up. hahahahaa.

We also played full MLB seasons on Intellivision baseball. We kept stats in binders, had all star games, playoffs and world series. We were way ahead of the times. If only we would have thought about creating this for the games themselves and that other people would want to do this we could be retired off video game money.

Reminds me of paper football we played in middle school! Our friend group got so into it that we each made our own paper football out of various types of paper. One of the dudes even lightly waxed the points in the hopes that it would 'stick' better! Good times...

The triangle paper shuffleboard to the edge of the table game? Hunt cow that’s almost 50 years ago. Our rule was you couldn’t flinch on the extra point.

:lmao:

That's the one! We also had separate footballs for field goals and the no flinch rule was definitely in effect.

The Browns are the only team with no logo at all on their helmet, so that means that it’s the only one without a logo sticker on it, adding more weight to the top of the helmet, whereas the Browns helmet would be slightly more bottom heavy without a logo sticker on it.

Science says that makes sense. :)

Makes me recall when Baskin-Robbins had those helmet sundaes. I think I had all of them, mostly because my best friend worked there, took the display and gave me them!

Think I need to order a set
Bought them for my son a few years back. He still has them displayed, by division order, in his room.
I had that exact thing years ago. For a while i would put them in order of the standings.

Then I got a set of 32 smallish felt pennants and stuck them to the wall in order of the standings. Then when I got my own apartment, I put about 4 feet of thread (approximately team-colored) through each pennant and hung each one on the wall, grouped by divisions (with the north divisions on the north wall, east on the east wall, etc.). And each thread had it's corresponding helmet tied to the bottom to weigh it down. Then I would move the flags up and down according to current playoff positioning.

Lasted a few years, but eventually I got tired of helmets getting knocked around and threads getting tangled and stuff.

loved these! almost as much as the carvel sundae in a mini baseball helmet.
Quick way to trigger (in a good way) a transplanted East Coaster is to mention Carvel!

Damn, I miss that soft serve ice cream. Too much frozen yogurt out here in CA.
mr. frostee was way better.
Do you mean Mr. Softee? That’s the other popular soft serve ice cream on the east coast…and I JUST went to the one in Camarillo when I was visiting family in LA. Yum!

Our local DQ in Illinois ran an NFL helmet special on a random release of the teams' helmets. They were mini helmets filled with ice cream. We went back and eventually bought enough helmets to complete a standings wall. One time, on the bike ride back from overindulging, a few of us had to purge the DQ ice cream just so I could make it home. LOL
