Jinx! Good one!Well, there's always next year.

kick at the end of the first half.Eh, Wilson is what he is. Cashman is better. But that hammy injury didn't look good and I think Cashman has dealt with that before. My guess is he is out 4-6 weeks at a minimum.Cashman may not get his job back from Wilson
I ain't heard no fat lady!I said I didn’t plan to take much from this game, but how can’t you? Beyond anything I could have hoped for with JJ and a MNF road game.
He wasn't bad as my QB2 in superflex which is all I really care about. QB #10 for the week in fantasy. Was Caleb that bad to most of you? I actually thought he looked pretty good.
Agreed. O'Connell has taken a huge step back in play calling. He keeps calling deep routes and the QB continues to get nailed standing behind that OL. He never adjusts his game plan. This team sucks all around. Penalties, dropped passes, play calling....really hard to watch this crap after the brand of football we watched last year.

This is all on AOC for thinking McCarthy is/was ready.Agreed. O'Connell has taken a huge step back in play calling. So many dropped passes.. And easy catches.
And the haters out there expecting McCarthy to be a star in only his 5th start. This game is tough on any Young QB..
But yea, let’s give up on him after 5 starts.![]()

I'd posted in the game thread after this. Throughout NFL history, I don't think any NFL team has made 1 yard look as difficult as the Vikes make it look. When the game was still within reach they had driven down to the red zone mainly running all over them.
Then on 3rd and one he decides a direct snap to hockerson wtf
Then 4th and 2.. Lets run it up the middle where 10 packers are waiting.![]()
Dallas did yesterday a few times. J Williams running at 4 or 5 yds a pop and gets it to the one yd line for 2nd and goal. Then three straight passes. Looked like the Vikes.I'd posted in the game thread after this. That too sometimes, but I meant running for the yard. The Vikes gave up trying to run for the yard last year (particularly redzone), but were supposed to have improved OL. Yet, they still need gimmicks to run for it, like TJ yesterday. JMHO, a team can't be taken seriously until it can impose its will for a yard.J Williams running at 4 or 5 yds a pop and gets it to the one yd line for 2nd and goal. Then three straight passes. This is 100% true. Unfortunately, some play callers want to get tricky and don't even try and because of that they end up worse at it than they should be when they really need to get that yard.a team can't be taken seriously until it can impose its will for a yard.
That's what happens when O'Connell asks him to sit in the pocket and wait for deep routes to materialize .JJM looks like the worst QB in the league
Yep, and my first thought was, did O'Connell send you his playbookDallas did yesterday a few times. J Williams running at 4 or 5 yds a pop and gets it to the one yd line for 2nd and goal. We saw Sam Darnold the last two games of the season last year. He is/was not the answer. The Vikings have a serious quarterback issue...
JJ McCarthy QBR in Week 12: 34.2
Max Brosmer QBR in Week 13: 32.8
QBR if you spiked the ball EVERY PLAY: 39.6
Letting Sam Darnold go will haunt Minnesota.
Regardless, it'll be interesting to see if they move on or stick with JJ.We saw Sam Darnold the last two games of the season last year. He is/was not the answer. The Vikings have a serious quarterback issue...

Not nearly enough information for them to make a decision at this point. He will get the rest of this year, dependent on health, at the very least. I am all for failing fast, especially at the QB position. The worst spot to be in is to have someone like Tua or Kyler where you pay them 1/4 of your teams salary only for them to be mediocre on their best days. Maybe they do what the 49ers did with Lance and move on from him immediately, however, it is clear that Brosmer is not Purdy.Regardless, it'll be interesting to see if they move on or stick with JJ.We saw Sam Darnold the last two games of the season last year. Repeat after me.. He has had 6 starts.. He is a rookie who's head coach is not doing him any favors. If JJ McC turns this thing around I will happily eat these words, but he looks like the 2nd biggest bust in the last 25 years of the NFL. When your QBR is below "Spike"... you ain't got it. And he's not a rookie even though, I get it... he did not play football in his rookie season... but apparently, he didn't watch or study any football during his year off either.
He looks like the typical "big NCAA program" over-hyped QB that read too much of his own headlines, took in all the accolades of the fanbase he brought with him to the NFL, and listened too much to all the beautiful things his college HC says about him. Lose the war paint, forget the self-given nickname, and get to work JJ.
If he can't eat a full helping of humble pie he'll be out of the league in 2 years (or less).

If he finishes this season playing and doesn't show any improvements then it is time to panic.
Had the Vikings special teams done their job, we'd all be talking about his drive to take the lead and win against the Bears.
I don't think he has much of a chance if O'Connell doesn't change his game calling.
He threw brosmer to the wolves by calling the same game as if he was a veteran, rather than an undrafted rookie.
