If you hear about the status of the Minnesota Receivers, please post only news in here.

The majority of Shark Poolers do not want to see posts in this thread not relating to the latest injury news, so as a courtesy could Lineup decisions and conjecture, please go to the Assistant Coach forum and an unpinned thread respectively

From the Pioneer Press website:

After missing two practices because of an illness, Vikings receiver Sidney Rice said Saturday night that he's "ready to go." Rice doesn't want to disappoint the 68 family members and friends who are driving the half-hour from Gaffney, S.C., to see him play against the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium today. "I wasn't feeling good at all," Rice said, not specifying what ailed him. "But I started feeling better (Friday)." Rice is a huge star in the area, having led Gaffney to basketball and football state titles and then starring at the University of South Carolina. "It's a huge game for me," said Rice, who leads the NFC with 1,075 receiving yards. "Probably one of the most exciting games I've ever played in. I will try to make it as much fun as possible and hope my people get to enjoy it." There is also optimism that rookie Percy Harvin, who missed his first NFL game last Sunday because of migraines, will return to action today. Harvin was limited in practice on Friday and is listed officially as questionable, which means he has a 50-50 chance to play. — Sean Jensen

Rice "ready to go" for Vikings

Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on December 20, 2009 8:41 AM ET

Vikings receiver Sidney Rice missed two practices this week with an illness, but declared himself "ready to go" Saturday night.

"I wasn't feeling good at all," Rice said. "But I started feeling better [Friday]."

Rice play the Panthers Sunday night, and Rice grew up only 30 minutes from Charlotte in South Carolina. He has 68 family members and friends coming to watch him face off the Panthers.

Sean Jensen of the St. Paul Pioneer Press also is told that Percy Harvin should be good to go despite being listed as questionable on the injury report. Harvin returned to practice Saturday.

The Vikings still have an outside shot at the top seed in the NFC, but they would need the Saints to lose to the Bucs or Panthers for a chance to get it.

I'm trying to decide whether to start Rice or D. Williams. Not sure who has the better chance at a good game. The Panthers have a good pass D, and the Vikings have a good run D. I know Williams will get the ball but he may only average 3 yards a carry.
