Minor league player help (1 Viewer)

14-team keeper points/head to head league where we keep 2 minor leaguers each year along with 8 major leaguers.

Right now I have Maybin, Braun, Niemann, Pedroia and Samardja. A guy like Pedroia that will eclipse 130ABs (or 50IPs) can still be kept as a minor leaguer this coming offseason.

So the thing is, Pedroia is gonna be a good 2B, but if he's not going to be Utley, I don't see any reason to keep him unless he's going to help my team this year or he'd be good trade bait later on. Right now I'm rolling with F. Lopez and Biggio, so I think I'll be safe all year at 2B, and 2B is easy to fill in the next draft even in a keeper.

Who are some guys that might be better keepers this offseason in case I trade two of Niemann/Braun/Maybin? Just find a few of the highest rated guys on Baseball America not listed below (they would be #13 ANDREW McCUTCHEN OF Pirates, #22 FERNANDO MARTINEZ OF Mets, #24 CLAYTON KERSHAW lhp Dodgers, #33 JACOBY ELLSBURY OF Red Sox)? Martinez and Kershaw have ETA of 2009, so I'm guessing that is why most teams let them go.

Since it's a bigger league, maybe you can take a flier on Jose Tabata, OF, for the Yankees.

He's only 18 right now, in single A, and probably a good year or two away from the majors, but the kid is going to be a BEAST.

And this is coming from Yankee hater.

He is #27 on that list, I skipped over him. Interesting prospect. Hit .314/.382/.417 in rookie ball at age 17.
