OK guys...
over the years, I've heard about how our playoff structure can be difficult for the top seeds, as they catch Wild Cards in on points that can mean an early first round exit for Division Winner after Division Winner when they catch a red-hot buzz saw as a WC...
I am entertaining thoughts on a redraft league where we use our core Misfit structure for rosters, waivers, lineups and use Basic Scoring, no ppr, etc...but use a "King of the Hill" format for the playoffs where:
Top 3 teams from each 7 team division qualify, based on record
Top 2 of remaining 8 in on Points Scored, regardless of division
Playoffs(week 14) seeded as follows:
Seed 1= Best Record, ties broken H-2-H
Seed 2= High Point Scorer, of remaining 6
Seed 3= Next High Points, of remaining 4
Seed 1 selects his playoff opponent, leaving 6 teams in the playoff field
Seed 2 then selects his opponent of the remaining 5 teams
Seed 3 selects from remaining 3 teams
Week 15:
Seed 1= High Score week 14...highest score in Round 1 gets rewarded in Round 2 so he has the opportunity to select his opponent
Toilet Bowl:
6 remaining teams have something to play for---top 2 of 6 remaining get byes (based on record)
of the remaining 4, Highest Scoring draws opponent for week 14
top team on bye selects opponent for week 15
for those not familiar w/our setup:
The Misfits and Outlaws are a group of Dynasty Leagues, but King of the Hill will start as a redraft this year, then we'll decide to continue and draft a Dynasty League next season
14 team league, 20 man roster
Start: QB--2RB--2WR/TE--2flex--K--D, where WR=TE and flex=RB/WR/TE
decimal scoring, .1/yd ru/rec, .04/yd passing
passing TD=4, others 6
(regular MOX league scoring, w/no ppr here)
fees $115, w/$1475 paid out to 8 playoff teams and Toilet Bowl winner--9 teams collect of the 14
any interest in something like this?
