(Rotoworld) Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio will limit David Garrard's ability to call audibles going forward.

Analysis: Jags coaches came under heavy criticism for not getting the ball to Maurice Jones-Drew in Week 8, and Del Rio is deflecting the blame to his quarterback. "We took that privilege away or that ability away and said, 'Look, just hand it to him and let him run the ball,'" Del Rio explained. Garrard's franchise quarterback status is on shaky ground -- as is the head coach.

I thought Del Rio was an idiot for not running MJD more than a handful of times and waiting so long to run at all.... Apparenty it was Garrard's fault?

as an mjd owner, i was very happy with the 177 yard, 2 TD day last Sunday...but very disappointed with only 8 carries Boo Garrard! BOO!! MJD averaging 5.2 yards per carry this year...give him the rock!!!

Jack Del Rio is trying to foist blame on Garrard. That's a very public way to shame his QB. If I were the coach I wouldn't say that in public. That should have been taken care of behind closed doors.

I call B.S. I can buy that argument for a quarter, or even a half. But the entire game? Nonsense. I'm sure Garrard audibled some runs into passes.

But I'm equally sure JDR simply didn't call a lot of runs in the first place.
