MLB 0-10 Pool (1 Viewer)

I'm just wondering if there would be any interest in a 0-10 MLB pool? For $25 per person you get a team and the first team to score 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, & 10 wins. Teams will be handed out on a first come first serve basis.

For example let's say the first series of the season the Pirates beat the Cubs 4-2 in game 1, 5-1 in game 2, & 4-3 in game 3. The Pirates would then have gotten a 4 & 5 (second 4 doesn't matter since it was already gone) while the Cubs got their 1, 2, & 3. The first team to get 0 thru 10 wins. Double digit scores (11, 12, ect.) DO NOT count as anything.

There is no favorite in this pool as good teams have a hard time getting the 0 & 1 while bad teams have a hard time with the higher numbers.

I'm willing to run this/collect if there is interest. Since I'm not known well around here (I have played fbg poker) I understand if people would prefer a more well known fbg to run it.

If 2 or more teams reach there goal on the same day the pot will be split.

Prizes are 1st $650 & 2nd $100

I've been a part of this type of pool at another site. It's fun, and Timmypg is legit, if indeed it's the same guy.

If not knowing me is the issue I can run the pool (I'll update post 1 every day so it's easy to double check your team) and I'm sure a more trusted person can collect. I just thought this was a fun pool with $750 going to the winner (I keep $0).

Sounds interesting. I've never heard of this game. Can you pretend we've already had some games played and show some examples of exactly how this works?

I was hoping for more of a season-long contest to pass the time until football season, but I'll play anyway.

Even though the Yankees have almost no shot of ever scoring 10 runs. :cry:

 
So obviously we can have up to 30 people in this thing? $750 is a nice score. I'll see if I can drum up some interest from the boys in the wagering thread.

 
IN -- I'll take the Braves. They'll get shut out a bunch of times and score double digits more often than most. It's the 4-7 scores that may be hard to come by.

:goodposting: I'm down for flattening it out a touch... esp if we end up with 20+ entries. Hell even 60/35/15 would be good. You guys' call though

Post 1 is updated with a better explanation of the rules and a clearer list of who's available still.

How would 2nd/3rd place work? As soon as we get a winner, it's over and you see who placed and showed?

Or we have to wait for two more teams to get the 11 required numbers?

Either way, paying 1 thru 3 is fine by me.

However many spots people want is fine with me. I'd also like 2 games a season.

I'm hoping with everyone on here we can fill all 30 teams which would mean a pot of $750. If we get 30 owners soon enough we can take a vote. I'm fine with anything.
