MNF - Titans at Texans - Game Thread (1 Viewer)

You like the over? I took the Titans +4. Chris Johnson is going to kill it. Watch. VY will have a big game too.

Last time was 34-31 Houston, but who knows how this one will go.

I could see it going either way - but the pressure will be on both defenses. TEN secondary and HOU LBs vs. Chris Johnson.

Tough, tough call but I like Houston to win by a 27-24 type score.

Titans by double-digits, after which they'll climb in to the top half of all the press's power rankings and officially become the team no one wants to play the rest of the year.

You know what... I think you are on to something if you were serious.Jeff Fisher is a great head coach that always gets his boys to play.I am pretty sure but I think that no team that has started the season 0-6 has ever made the playoffs. I am not going to say that they will make the playoffs but... they are looking scary. If they can win tonight, watch out because each of their remaining games are winnable. They do play the Colts, Cardinals, and Chargers along the way.I think this is a statement game for the Titans. :lmao: Should be exciting.

Before I leave the office to watch the game, I want to add that Chris Johnson is the most exciting player in the NFL today.

Yes, I'm serious.

How far has Kearse fallen, Titans fans? And what's up with Ringer - can he get going and get to an active spot in the lineup?

The younger guys are playing well. I also think he may be a little dinged up.

What would be the point? Lendale White isn't even getting an touches and he scored 13 TDS (IIRC) last season. They have the best running back in football and they don't even have to give him the ball very much. Put another way: if CJ is fresh, what reason on EARTH could you find to give the ball to any other RB?

I agree, but just wondering if/when Ringer will become the #2. Haven't heard much out of him, and given how far out of favor LenWhale is, just wondering if Ringer would move up. I'd think he would be "fresher" and better suited to split time with White if anything were to happen to CJ.Do they have a 4th RB on the roster, and who is it? Is he better at special teams? Does Ringer suck on special teams? Again, just a curiosity question.

White isn't "out of favor." He's on the bench because the starter is so much better then he is. They'll let Lendale walk in the offseason and Ringer will be the 2nd team guy next year. But as long as Johnson has 2 legs and a pulse, he's the guy.

I am very much looking forward to this game. I love then the MNF game has FF outcome decided by it.
All my games are decided, chance for 1 high score...but I'm just looking forward to a good rivalry game.Kinda rooting for both teams...would love to see Houston go to the playoffs, but the Titans sneaking in after starting 0-6 would be an awesome story.

Good news for us long suffering Slaton owners. Sure, he wasn't in there on the first two downs, but he got the TD. A sign of things to come? Hope so.

It looked like he came in for Brown before the false start (after the Walter pass), and then came out after the penalty, only to go back in after Brown ran it twice more. Was I seeing things?

For what it's worth, he was out there on the first offensive play. If I were to read anything into that, it would be that Kubiak still has confidence in him. Kubiak has been pretty non-committal about the RB on the radio shows I've heard, but he's definitely going to give Slaton a chance.

They need him if they get into the playoffs. He is their most explosive back especially catching the ball.

Chris Johnson is good, but he's not the best running back in football.
