Mock Draft (1 Viewer)

1. Rams - QB - Sam Bradford - Oklahoma

-As much as I would like them to go DT, they have no QB on the roster that will WIN them a game. Hopefully Bradford can prove to me that he wasn't a byproduct of great players around him at OU.

2. Lions - DT - Ndamukong Suh - Nebraska

-Unreal that they get a player of this caliber at 1.2. Sad my Bears have to face this kid all the time.

3. Buccaneers - DT - Gerald McCoy - Oklahoma

HC is a defensive guy and needs a franchise player to lead them.

4. Redskins - OT- Trent Williams - Oklahoma

Williams is more athletic and fits teh ZBS better than Okung.

5. Chiefs - OT - Russell Okung - Oklahoma State

With the millions invested in Bowe, Cassel, and perhaps star RB Charles...KC needs to protect that investment.

6. Seahawks - S Eric Berry - Tennessee

Carroll is a defensive guy and having the Berry being the signal-caller of the D for years is very appealing.

7. Browns - OT - Bryan Bulaga - Iowa

An OL with Joe Thomas, Steinbach, Mack, and Bulaga will go a long way to making whatever QB they bring in better.

8. Raiders - OG - Mike Iupati - Idaho

Pretty much b/c the latest reports have this and it is a better pick than Bruce Campbell.

9. Bills - QB - Jimmy Clausen - ND

They need a face of the franchise....period.

10. Jaguars - S - Earl Thomas - Texas

I know they bombed on Reggie Nelson, but they need a S badly.

11. Broncos - C/OG - Maurkice Pouncey - Florida

Slight reach here, but they need someone to anchor the middle of the line.

12. Dolphins - RB - CJ Spiller - Clemson

Henne-Spiller-Marshall is a decent skill core moving forward.

13. 49ers - CB - Joe Haden - Florida

Need fits one of the BPA here.

14. Seahawks - OT Anthony Davis - Rutgers

The seahawks can't walk out of this draft without getting at least one good OL.

15. Giants - DT Dan Williams - Tennessee

Williams could help resurrect that DL.

16. Titans - WR Dez Bryant - Oklahoma State

This is a scenario not many are talking about. Bryant would help blocking in the run game and give CJ some relief.

.

17. 49ers - S Taylor Mays - USC

Without reaching on an OL, the 49ers take a double trouble approach to the DB's next year with Haden and Mays.

18. Steelers - CB Kareem Jackson - Bama

Don't think they could go Tebow....but who knows with the rumors currently.

19. Falcons - DE Derrick Morgan - Georgia Tech

Fills a big need for them and a steal of getting Morgan at this spot.

20. Texans - RB Ryan Mathews - Fresno State

They need a RB and they get the best one in the draft.

21. Bengals - TE - Jermaine Gresham - Oklahoma

They fill their biggest need with the #1 TE.

22. Patriots - ILB - Rolando McClain - Bama

He slips and they take advantage.

23. Packers - OT - Charles Brown - USC

They need help here and Brown could learn for a year behind the vet Clifton.

24. Eagles - DE - Jason Pierre Paul - USF

The eagles need pass rush help and that's his forte.

25. Ravens - DL Jared Odrick - Penn State

I was going to pick Kyle Wilson, but he doesn't tackle well. Odrick will play the 5 technique and occupy blockers for ray ray.

26. Cardinals - OLB/DE Brandon Graham - Michigan

Graham can play strongside OLB to help for all of the defenders that left Arizona this offseason.

27. Cowboys - OT Bruce Campbell - Maryland

He needs seasoning, but they need a stud at LT and Doug Free is no sure thing.

28. Chargers - CB Kyle Wilson - Boise State

The Chargers go from one CB that isn't a big fan of tackling to another.

29. Jets - OLB Sergio Kindle - Texas

Getting pressure on the QB is a fixture of the 46 and Kindle can help provide just that.

30. Vikings - CB Devin McCourty - Fresno State

With Winfield hurt late last year...it showed a big weakness. Hopefully he and Griffin can return to form and McCourty can develop for a year.

31. Colts - OT - Roger Saffold - Indiana

They need OL help and Saffold can play multiple positions.

32. Saints - CB - Patrick Robinson - Florida State

Robinson will help for the future besides Porter.

Ok tear it apart now, lol

I would be really surprised if the Dolphins took Spiller. I don't think Parcells likes finesse players and I don't think he will want to use a first round pick on a back. If they go with a RB, I would look for them to grab someone like Ben Tate or LeGarrette Blount much deeper in the draft. Seattle at 14 seems like a realistic destination for Spiller, especially considering the success that Carroll had with Reggie Bush at USC.

As a 49er fan, I really hope we don't take Taylor Mays as he was a vastly overrated college player and a liability in pass coverage. I don't think he's worth a first round pick, particularly since he plays safety. Either way, he's really not a good value at 17.

I almost went with Williams there.

Who would you have liked them to take in that scenario?

I'd like to see Green Bay snag Graham or one of the defensive backs in this scenario. Or Best. Or Kindle. However, I can't say I'd be disappointed with Brown.

I don't follow the non-skill players very closely. Of the guys left on your board at 18, I think Graham, Mathews, and McClain look like legitimate first round talents who could help the Niners.

16. Titans - WR Dez Bryant - Oklahoma State

This is a scenario not many are talking about. Bryant would help blocking in the run game and give CJ some relief.
With good reason. They just gave Washington starter's money last year, Britt appears poised to be a future #1, and Gage is a solid 2/3 when healthy. Combine that with gaping holes at DE and CB and no 2nd round pick, and that would make Bryant unlikely.

I don't want the Niners to end up with Mays, and certainly not at 17 overall.
Who would you take in that scenario? Obviously I'm just curious from a 49ers point of view. I can't see them leaning and taking a Campbell or Brown for a RT.
I think they'd trade down or take McClain. If he did slip (and he won't), my guess is they take him and try to grab a 2nd tier tackle in the second round (maybe even trade up to do so, like they did when they picked Staley).

I thought of that...but not sure they wanted to spend another 1st(willis, lawson) on a LB.

9 million guaranteed. But I just don't view the Titans as a threat this year. So by having a core of CJ, Young, Britt, Bryant, J. Cook. They can build up the defense thru later rounds and next offseason. How is the OL going to be without Mawae?

I think the concern would be the amount of resources the team would have tied up in inside LBs in particular ... but the team wanted another dominant ILB enough to make a play for Briggs a couple years back, so I don't think it would necessarily stop them from taking McClain if he slid that far.

My last one

Latest rumor from Adam Schefter.

6. Seahawks - OT - Trent Williams - Oklahoma

Jason Lacanfora rumored this.

17. 49ers - Rolando McClain - Bama

Pairing him with Willis is dangerous.

18. Steelers - OT Anthony Davis - Rutgers

Don't think they could go Tebow....but who knows with the rumors currently.

19. Falcons - WR - Demaryius Thomas - Georgia Tech

They need to give Ryan more weapons.

20. Texans - RB Ryan Mathews - Fresno State

They need a RB and they get the best one in the draft.

21. Bengals - S- Taylor Mays - USC

Zimmer could make him excel.

22. Patriots - OLB -Sergio Kindle - Texas

He slips and they take advantage.

They need help here and Brown could learn for a year behind the vet Clifton.

Need to replace Cromartie and Vasher isn't going to do the job.

29. Jets - OLB - Jerry Hughes - TCU

Getting pressure on the QB is a fixture of the 46 and Hughes can help provide just that.

30. Vikings - CB Devin McCourty - Fresno State

With Winfield hurt late last year...it showed a big weakness. Hopefully he and Griffin can return to form and McCourty can develop for a year.

...which is why they signed greer last year and drafted jenkins to boot. it's just not likely to happen, i think. OLB seems like the most obvious choice but safety *could* be a possible too.

Better. He got by on reputation last season. Harris is a superior player at this point. Mawae is still unemployed for a reason.
