MODS: Put "Player Spotlights" in their own forum? (1 Viewer)

Maybe a good idea once they are off page 2. They will be easier to find on their own forum, but no one will add their own thing if they are not on the main board, IMO.

I understand this request but I think if it's removed from this forum then it will die a slow death. What I do like is the idea of giving it it's own forum or locked thread after the first day. Keeping it here is important because people will participate if they see it. Some will not go looking for it and some good posts would be missed I'm afraid.

There is a thread pinned up top, my bad. It's kind of a pain to have to click through multiple threads to find someone, but not bad. Would still think one place w/all posts would be better (if possible arranged alphabetically to find easier)- maybe after they sink past page 2 makes sense though and leaving newer ones here to get responses. Was just a thought

The Spotlights are pinned at the top and the master thread lets you link through to every prior Spotlight. The Shark Pool is explicitly for discussing this kind of thing. Over the next few months the main driver of conversation in the Pool will be draft preparation and player analysis; that's explicitly what the Spotlight threads were created for.

It would be a whole lot easier to sort through and search if they were their own forum. I think you guys should strongly reconsider.
In that scenario, we'll likely miss some great input from not-so-regular posters that may not be aware of the separate forum. Plus, the people that browse this forum only will miss out on the information contained in the Spotlight threads. Cutting down on the exchange of thoughts and views is a downer.

Fair Enough. I avoid them for the most part because they just clutter up this board and many of them get pushed to Page 2 and beyond quickly. To each his own I suppose. Thanks for the response.

love the Spotlights. but I hate searching for a guy not currently listed on the front page. so yeah, putting these `spotlights` on their own page makes sense!

Just do a sub-forum like in the IDP Forum.
It's a bit late now since most of the player spotlights are already running loose in the SP, but when a whole handful of new spotlights are posted in here some of the smaller new topics instantly get pushed down to the lower pages, rarely to be seen again.

these things are a PITA to find when looking for a specific player.,Si'm normally not down for bifurcating forums but it is applicable here IMO.

Excellent thread. Finding individual spotlights is a tedious task even when using the master thread. It opens windows twice for me which is like my neighbor Nushuktan Tulyiagby - he is pain in my #######s.

I think starting a Player Profile sub-forum would be great. Even if they were broken up by position. It would make it easier to navigate.love the Spotlights. but I hate searching for a guy not currently listed on the front page. so yeah, putting these `spotlights` on their own page makes sense!

Hey Bagger,In case you missed it, Bentley was being facetious. The thread IS pinned and they are all labeled "Player Spotlight: [insert Name]" and couldn't be easier to find via the search function if we tried.
