**Monday Night Doubleheader 1 - Titans at Dolphins** (-2.5, 37) 7:30 (1 Viewer)

We also have an MLB Doubleheader between the Braves and Mets starting around 1:00 this afternoon
A sweep by either team will eliminate the other from post season where as a split will push the Diamondbacks OUT of the Playoffs

-I know nobody gives a flip in here about MLB but a Doubleheader to sip some afternoon suds before the Doubleheader tonight
Could be a rather fun sports day for some folks out there

I think Huntley will breathe some life into this offense. He was decent in Baltimore.
For those who might not be familiar with Huntley

I found his stats to be eye opening, not in a good way.
In '21 he did OK, high % completion etc...
But '22 when he was forced to start due to injuries to Lamar Jackson, the results are not good
88-138-115-130...those are his passing totals, I am not impressed and I expect very little out of him tonight

Tough game to figure.
Titans usually play tough but then Levis gives the game away
Fins still have Hill and Waddle but can Huntley get the ball to them?
Achane could be the key for The Fins in this one.
It should be close but one or both qb's will turn it over in the fourth quarter in a key spot.
Last one to throw an interception loses...

Titans- 26
Fins- 23

I think McDaniel should feel like he's coaching for his job...he isn't of course but he should be held accountable for some of this mess
Yep. He loved the press when he was the darling. He was deemed the next great offensive mastermind coordinator. Well. It's time to coordinate. So far we have seen that if you take away longs bombs his offense is limited.

The Titans are without Owuzie and Snead is questionable. Snead is outstanding on Hill. He is one of the types that are often questionable so I have to guess and it is that he plays.

Brownlee is an excellent rookie and should sub in for Awuzie. McCreary has been great in the slot. The Titans are a bit old yet crafty at safety.
The secondary (and defense) was phenomenal the first two weeks- best in NFL- but they'd get tired late in games with the offense not giving them a normal times amount of rest.
Malik's first quarter was bad for the D. The Pack had a few shots the rest of the game but the D did well otherwise.

Sooo DL Jeffrey Simmons is doubtful. He's their heart. A potential HOFer and all that stuff.

On paper, this game is over before it starts if Simmons and Snead are out. Assuming Snead plays...

Every game the opposing fans are surprised how good the D is. Again, they were tops in NFL.
We'll see with Brownlee filling in and Sweat having to be the man on the DL.
Dolphins center Brewer was a Titan and he's too small. Perfect technique and feet and hand placement and...but he's not even 300 lbs. Many coaches say, "When the center fails, the whole line collapses." It was a very curious addition for the Dolphins and their line has struggled big time. Sweat is a big big beastly boy. Brewer isn't winning that matchup.

Brewer has wheels to him and the Fins want to run with their linemen and Jonnu leading the way. Idk if this will work but that was his redeeming quality.

The Titans subbed out their Fantasy Life FF show host NPF at RT last week for a bad sub that's curiously on the roster. Duncan came in and whiffed on 2 or 3 sacks himself like OMG whiffed. Ojukwu was the RT while NPF was out and maybe he plays. Chig is a poor blocker. The Titans have a phenomenal blocking TE Odukoya that never plays. They've used six linemen on some plays. They have to have to have to fix the RT spot. If they don't the Dolphins will be on Levis in three seconds like every other defense.
Levis has been accurate; especially so if you consider drops. That pressure has gotten to his head once or twice per game and he's made a woah bad mistake. Idk how you judge him without a RT doing anything and they have to evaluate him.

Surprise, most of the runs go left and NFL Ds have recognized this. Spears and Pollard can trade electric plays with Fins backs just fine but if you see the Fins cheating right (left) then they're onto the runs like everyone else.

McDaniel and Callahan have the same burden. They're clever and creative and really some simple plays would probably work best at times. They gotta get out of their own head, call the simple, and then mix in their creativity.

This may be the first week Burks isn't in so much. It may be the start of his expected decline. NWI and rookie Jackson would sub in for Boyd and Hopkins and be a nice mix of different types but Burks' non production is clogging things up. The slot and Whyle have been Levis' go to when no time and what settles him.

It sounds stupid to say the Fins should double Whyle or Boyd but 11 12? games in and idk that Levis could calm down if they did. Whyle is his BFF and dorm roommate and you almost see it on some plays. It's like "what are you doing? Do you think he's Kittle or Kelce? Oh wait nice catch" and someday that will absolutely burn Levis.

Snoop is a decent QB with some legs to him but every now n then I swear the ball floats. I could probably run down from the stands, tie a string on it, and hand it to a little kid. JK JK but he floats some and the strong Titans D curiously has no turnovers and are ripe to get their fair share.

I expect the same til proven otherwise. Levis will be 16 of 19 passing for 140ish yards and then the OLine will collapse and the D will collapse and it'll be over mid third quarter early fourth quarter.

Each team is super desperate to turn their season around so we'll probably see more deep shots and....idk desperate plays.
I'm thinking one of four name WRs is the stud for DFS tonight due to most of his yardage on a couple bombs

Update, Braves led most of the way 3-0 after 7 innings
Mets have climbed back into it down 3-2, 1st and 3rd no outs in the 8th

Braves were 94% to win entering the 8th inning

Mets took a 6-3 lead into the bottom of the 8th after they erupted in the Top Half of the inning for all 6 of those runs
Braves have roared back and just hit a base clearing Double to take a 7-6 lead
I don't watch much MLB but this was exciting to watch

Miami 9
Titans 6

Battle of kickers. Titans are in as bad of spot at QB as Miami, their front office is determined to prove taking Levis was a good move and he's just not good.

If Miami loses at home 2 years in a row to TEN, fans will start wearing bags over their heads. And calling out McDaniel if the offense struggles again. I think Tyler does just enough to give Miami the win.

I hope your right.

I really didn't want to bet this game, but when I looked at it again I noticed that the line opened TEN -1.0, and now has conveniently settled at the Akbar line.

Tyler Huntley is worth 3.5 points?

Gimme the Titans and the points, please

Two really poor teams here.

Tony Pollard has never been the same since that hip drop tackle wrecked his leg. He lost that explosion thru the hole.

Just threw it right to Ogbah. Unreal.

That said, they should challenge that. I don’t think it was a pick. Looked like it hit the ground between his knees.
