So, going into tonight's DET @ NYG game, my opponent is ahead at 118 to my 113. Her players are finished and her score is locked in. I, however, still have my flex spot left to play tonight, and I am looking for some thoughts on how to best insure I get the 6 points I need to take the win. Our Flex is RB/WR/TE, it is a 1 PPR league, and 1 pt per 10 rushing/receiving yards (no decimal scoring). Who do you think is the safest bet to provide me at least 6 points tonight? These are my options:
Odell Beckham, Jr.
Theo Riddick
Sterling Shepard (Waiver)
Shane Vereen (Waiver)
Evan Engram (Waiver)
Kenny Golladay (Waiver)
Beckham and Riddick I have on my roster currently. I'm worried that if Beckham does play, he'll be limited (or worse, have to sit early from tweaking his injury) and might fall short of the 6 points that I need. Theo Riddick doesn't have a lot of upside, but with the amount of targets he got last week, he could put up the 6 on receptions alone.
I have a few options on the waiver. If it would be best that I go to the waiver, I can drop Landon Collins (He won't be missed -- we're playing 1 DP this year, I already have Luke Kuechly and there is ton of value already available on waiver at DP). If OBJ doesn't play (and maybe even if he does), Sterling Shepard could see 5-10 targets. Shane Vereen could potentially see the same if DET gets up on them early, and the NYG WRs struggle like they did last week and Manning is forced to check-down to him. Evan Engram, I am unsure on what his usage will be like this week. The only person I might look to on DET's side of the ball is Kenny Golladay, but the NYG secondary may be too much of an issue for the rookie.
I'm leaning towards Theo Riddick, even if OBJ plays. He just seems like the safest bet on 6 points, but I'm just not sure. Please give me your thoughts on who is most likely to give me at least 6 points tonight. Thanks in advance.
