**Monday Night Football - Eagles 6-2 at Packers 5-2-1**(-1, 46) 8:15 (1 Viewer)

In Green Bay now at my parents’ house. Headed to Lambeau later today with my son, a co-worker and his son (who are Eagles fans). Probably going to Kroll’s for lunch in a little while and then taking my buddy and his son to the Packer Hall of Fame (that’s right, we have our own hall of fame).

Despite all of that, and what sounds like a fun afternoon of skipping out on work, I fully expect a loss tonight. The loss of Tucker Kraft is huge, and this team just isn’t healthy right now. Eagles by 13.

After last night’s game my opponent and I are tied within a few decimal places. (Both of us two highest scoring teams for the week and season… but both 5-4 / 4-5 and squarely in the playoff race)

His Josh Jacobs against my Saquon Barkley.

I haven’t had a fantasy game feel this important in quite some time.

It’s honestly kind of fun to see it come down to the wire like this.

Let’s go Eagles! And more specifically… Saquon!

Barkley said The Eagles bye came at a perfect time
He said they need to step away from one another for awhile
I think they come back refreshed and ready to deal with a Jekyll and Hyde Packer squad
Visitors prevail...

Pheagles- 27

Phackers- 19

I need the stars on both teams to shine. And really am hoping for a good game. Laying the points. Go pack. You’ve been warned.

I'm actually going to be able to watch a Monday Night Football game in peace… no nail-biting… no cursing at the TV.

I'm ahead by 4.5 points with Jacobs and Brown lined-up, while my opponent is done for the week. 😁

I like your style.

I feel like this is gonna be a bounce back game for Green Bay. I worry about the Eagles secondary, and think Love can have a lot of success if Philly stacks the box against Jacobs, which I'm expecting. I wouldn't be shocked if Romeo Doubs ended up being a top-10 WR this week.

I'm also expecting Green Bay's run D to feel pretty embarrassed by what Dowdle did to them last week, and I think they sell out to stop the run, and if Hurts beats them deep, so be it. Somebody of the AJ/Smith/Goedert trio likely has a big day, but I can also see some sacks and maybe turnovers.

I think this one comes down to the wire. Maybe I'm looking through the lens of a pessimistic Bears fan, but I think Green Bay probably pulls this one out. Let's say Packers score a TD to take the lead with under 2 minutes left, and then Parsons and co. get to Hurts ending a potential game winning FG to happen.

Packers-21
Eagles-20

As an Eagles fan, I'm feeling as well about this one as one could given a road game against a good opponent. I think the GB WR injuries and the relative health of Philly coming off a long rest make the line a head scratcher. GB being given extra home credit based on history? But recent history at home is less then stellar. I'm thinking Eagles with relative comfort. Something like 31-23

The Eagles are getting 1 injured guy Back in Nolan Smith and 2 brand new guys that should see snaps tonight in Slot CB Michael Carter and Edge LB Jaelen Phillips, who has familiarity already with the DC will they were in Miami together.

The Packers lost Tucker Kraft, their back pass catcher.

Packers usually are good against the run, but Rico Dowdle and the Panthers ran all over them.

I think the Eagles keep the Packers on their toes all nice, run a bunch of under center stuff

And maybe 300 Tush Push plays, I dunno. Seems ripe for a game to troll the oppononent.

If Micah is active tonight sacking our QB, this game will be close.

If not and I don't expect it to be, won't be too close.

Eagles 28
Packers 17

It’s a joke that the Birds are coming in here as an underdog. I view the Packers as a fraudulent team and the Eagles are coming into their own. Getting some key components on defense and offense back this week, everyone is rested, GB coming off an unbelievable loss to Carolina and has Dave from accounting at wr.

I predict a total Eagles beat down and am hoping for some seriously petty **** from the Eagles w/r/t the tush push. I’m talking like 1st and ten Tush Pushes, multiple goal to go tush pushes; if I had my druthers I’d set the o/u on TP’s at 9.5.

Eagles win 35-17.

GO BIRDS!!!!!

less fraudulent then just inconsistent I think

FRAUDULENT

Eagles are well rested and getting healthy versus a team that is banged up. Historically, they're 4-0 after the bye under Sirianni. Jordan Love is 0-2 versus Philly in the regular season and was absolutely dreadful in the playoffs last year. If the Eagles shut down Jacobs, I don't think Jordan Love can beat them. I took the Eagles ML tonight, I don't even need the points.

ETA: By the way, there is a thread about how bad the NFL is this year. Here is the Packers schedule so far: Detroit (6-3), Cleveland (2-7), Washington (3-7), Dallas (3-5-1), Cincinnati (3-6), Arizona (3-6), Carolina (5-5) and Pittsburgh (5-4). Detroit might be the only team out of that group that will make the playoffs. How do they have 2 losses and a tie? You get one letdown game, not 3.

Is Jordan Love an imposter?
He gets paid like a Top QB in the NFL
I still have doubts about him being able to take Green Bay to the Super Bowl
Which makes the trading of future 1st round picks risky if they don't get past the first round of the Playoffs
NFC is LOADED with good teams right now, the LA Rams are a Wildcard team and Matt Stafford is playing perhaps the best football of his career
Love vs Hurts tonight

-Woody did hammer the little Philly helmet this morning on ESPN, the rest of the studio all picked the Eagles tonight

I’m excited to see Nolan back, and BG, and why Phillips is going to do. Also, word is they’re gonna play Carter at nickel and slide Cooper out to CB to play opposite Quinyon. Now THAT could be exciting

Have fun, man. Sorry about the Pack. Unless they take advantage of the Eagles' CB2 and slot corner (Carter is not good) I don't see much happening for the Pack in a good way. Maybe two bombs to Watson?

Peace.

Go Birds! 🦅

Philly: 28
Packers: 17

I could see a tight game. I can see the Pack winning. But, I think coming off the bye and getting a bunch of people back healthy, it’s Philly’s game.

If Carter is in the slot, then Cooper Dejean is the CB2, fwiw. He’s a tremendous upgrade to Keelee Ringo

These are the types of games Love needs to not just win, but shine through leadership. That's been far too rare, and I fear it just isn't part of his persona. I consider this a significant shortcoming in a QB. I understand he worked on it in the offseason, to the extent you can work on being a leader. Let's see. I'd be elated to be wrong. Show me what you got Mr. Love.

Hoping for a blowout. Multiple scores by multiple Eagles, possibly even a defensive score.

Reality? Eagles win a tough road game.

Not impressed with Fubo. ABC is like 15 seconds behind and ESPN has this steady hiccup in the sound every 10 seconds.

I stole my sisters Disney+ login ... but, I'm not seeing anything "live" here. Is there another option that she doesnt have? Soemthing that has live MNF?

This whole thing sucks.

Been seeing a lot of awful tackle attempts of late. Adoree Jackson just basically two hand touched Jacobs there. Awful effort. Also been noticing a lot of awful decision making by tacklers, letting guys get outside of them, instead of missing wide, so that the ballcarrier has to cut back toward the defense. Like stuff you'd be disappointed in a high school player for doing.
