really curious if Harvin will even travel with the Vikings if he's in such bad shape today?

Despite being listed as doubtful on the injury report, Percy Harvin will travel to Detroit for Monday night's rescheduled game.

Giants-Vikings was moved back to Monday and scheduled for Ford Field due to a snowstorm in Minnesota and subsequent collapse of the Metrodome roof. The St. Paul Pioneer Press passes along "some encouraging signs" about Harvin's playing status, although the Vikings haven't upgraded him on the injury report. That could happen later tonight or on Monday. With quarterback uncertainty and Harvin still unable to practice the last two weeks, he'll be tough to wait for in fantasy leagues. We'd play Vincent Jackson or Malcom Floyd over him.

Any word on what kind of playing time they (Smith and Nicks) will get? I sure hope that they play a full complement of snaps.

Was it ever validated that HNicks88 is really Nicks' twitter account? If so, here is his latest tweet from yesterday:

@mark_ash sry about the wrong info. game is 2moro, i will be playin 9:03 AM Dec 12th via web in reply to mark_ash
So now the question is, who is going for all the marbles and actually putting their fantasy hopes into his hands? I think you'll be seeing a grown man cry if he is declared active and plays a couple series then sits.I picked up Dreesen and Daniels as an insurance policy, but I'm pretty sure I'll stick with Nicks... gotta go with who got me here, right?

Nicks will play and I have Super Mario waiting to grab his helmet just in case! More I think about it, Mario may be the shark move with Nicks / SS actiing as decoys and getting double coverages. :goodposting:

I am up 6.8 with Nicks to go and they guy I am playing has Rackers. I may grab Housh and play him. I really only need 35 yards to give myself a great shot at winning. A zero could prove too costly.

If I needed a 8-10 points I would roll the dice with Nicks, but in this instance I think I will make a play for a few sure points.

I don't want to get you the loss, but that seems like a bad decision to me. Housh could easily blank.Nicks could also do poorly, but has far more upside. In non-ppr, Housh has ten games where he has less than four points.Play Nicks and don't get cute.

If Nicks plays he will be in my lineup. Even if they are limiting him to 50% I will keep him in. He is a matchup nightmare for the Vikings. I will wait to hear more news on his condition.

Not to mention that Baltimore's coach said that he wanted to get Stallworth more involved in the offense. It would really be risky to rely on Housh.

Vikings | Percy Harvin out Monday Mon Dec 13, 05:15 PM

Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin (migraines) will not play in the team's Week 14 game against the New York Giants Monday, Dec. 13, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune's Judd Zulgad.

Vikings | More on Brett Favre Mon Dec 13, 05:39 PM

Updating previous reports, Minnesota Vikings QB Brett Favre (ankle, chest, shoulder) has a knot the size of a golf ball between his neck and collarbone and has experienced numbness in his right hand all week, according to ESPN.com. Favre could take a painkiller in order to play, but is unlikely to take an injection into the injury site. An injection would have to be done at a hospital to ensure that the needle did not puncture nerves and arteries in the area, which could result in a stroke.

Smith & Nicks looking good so far warming up on the field
That is welcome news. From that tweet to Hay-seuss's ears.C'mon Hakeem...you KNOW you want to go absolutely bat sh@# crazy tonight, right? I don't even really NEED you to, but I'd be eternally grateful if you could assist in completely embarrassing a big time douchenozzle this evening. Don't let me down, brother. Thanking you in advance. You pal,5-ish

Awesome news to hear they are on field and looking good. I'm not expecting the world from Nicks -- I actually suspect that he is dialled back a little from his usual gaudy stats as he works back from injury. The team would be smart to utilize him, but not overdo it as well.

But it's great to hear he will actually be playing. So he's officially declared active, right?

:lmao:

Smith, Nicks: Active per ESPN

Both wide receivers were listed as questionable but ran patterns before the game, showing no signs of being slowed by their injuries during warm-ups.
Thanks, fbnerd :lmao: Some more from your linked article that was interesting:

Smith has said that he will likely be limited somewhat by his injury the rest of the season. However, he said he can catch balls across the middle and he displayed that in warm-ups.

I Put Nicks in over SJax, and so far I like it since Jackson's points wouldn't have got me the win. (Thank You, Mr.Orton)
