Montario Hardesty are you starting him? (2 Viewers)

Starting him in two leagues. In one league over Felix and Ingram, in the other league over Hightower, Benson and Greene.

:X

I'm thinking about starting him over Shonn Greene. What can we expect from Hardesty?
He hasn't looked decisive in practice or games but this could be his chance to shine. I'm not expecting much but I have options.

If you have him rostered there is no question that you should start him if Hillis was in your lineup. If, however, Hillis isn't on your team is where it can get dicey. Do you start him over-Tolbert, Felix, Wells, Addai, McGahee type guys is the real question. For me, as a Hillis owner it's easy.

Forced to. The loss of Charles last week really ate up my depth.

EDIT: Hillis owner here.

I'm debating over Hardesty and Starks right now... hmmmm. Think I may just go with Montario given the guaranteed 15-20 touches and playing a weaker defense.

1 roster, ppr, starting him over Ingram. Had him rostered, why not.

Another roster, picked him up and starting him w/ Hillis out.

:fingerscrossed:

Hillis owner. Not starting Hardesty either until he shows us something. Am really curious to see how he does today sholduring the load...

Going Hardesty over both Felix and Decker. Felix could be a total zero and don't like the matchup with TN/Finnegan.

Think Hardesty is worth a roster spot given that Felix Jones would be my RB2?

Would have to drop Lynch, Delone Carter, or Demarco Murray. Not sure if it's better to keep the cuffs or the starting RB. Any thoughts would help on that.

Thinking about plugging Hardesty in at flex over Nicks and Tolbert. I am convinced that Nicks will be shut down/limited today. Tolbert is more tricky though..with Gates and Floyd out for SD, I see Tolbert catching his usual 6-7 balls, and getting at least one TD.

Think I will stick with Tolbert..not sure how well Hardesty will do today. May blow up on my bench.

D Nelson or Hardesty at flex? I have been wating for Hardesty to get his shot... but I've heard bad things from homers, worried about the Miami D and really like the Nelson matchup with NWE.... personaly, fwiw, think I am leaving Hardesty on my bench given my options. Also starting him over Beanie and D Branch.

Am I nuts here?

EDIT: PPR league which I think gives Nelson added value.

In one PPR league where start 2 rb with flex, I am using Hardesty as my flex over Denarius Moore. (Have McFadden and Chris Johnson as RB starters).

In another PPR league where start 2 rb with no flex, I have Hardesty on bench right now and am thinking of starting Javhid Best and Tolbert. Wrestled with Hardesty over Tolbert, both are close. I am thinking Tolbert gets more receptions if KC can be competitive. If KC is getting blown out by SD, I wonder who will get the "run out the clock time at RB between Matthews and Tolbert. Still have about 45 minutes to rack my brain.

instead of wdis stuff, how about some predictions?

bloom sees 14/53 with a small chance of a touchdown, and i'm inclined to agree.

Benched Nelson for Hardesty, non ppr. Hardesty should get a lot of touches...curious to see how it works out.

Thanks for insight.

I would rather have Hardesty than Lynch. Seattle is just a disaster right now.

I'm trying to decide between Hardesty (now the starter, facing the 22nd ranked run D) and Brandon Jacobs (playing in a timeshare and runs the risk of falling behind). I'm open to feedback, but right now I'm leaning towards Hardesty

In over McGahee, Addai, Ingram and DWill. Let's see, sometimes guys like Daniel Thomas step up when the smell the opportunity to shine.

Where do you see Bloom's prediction?
Dodds more optimistic:18-75; 3-18In my scoring system, Hardesty is the #15 RB per Dodds...ahead of Felix and Decker.Bloom is definitely not as optimistic. Only 1 reception for 5 yards along with that 14-53.

Dodds has Hardesty at 18/75/.6 and 3/18/0. Bloom has him at 14/53/.3 and 1/5/0. Dodds in a .5 PPR has him over RB's such as Turner, Blount, Hightower and behind Bradshaw, Tate, Gore Tolbert. Bloom in a .5 PPR has him ahead of Lynch, Thomas, Green Bush and behind DWILL, Sproles, Woodhead and Helu. Hmmm. Really debating whether to go with Hardesty/Harvin now. got Hardesty in at the moment.

In over Wells and Sproles. In my league return TDs and RB receiving TDs are worth 9 points so Sproles is intriguing but I'm gonna go with the guy that will get gaurenteed touches.

For us Hillis owners, if Hardesty tears it up, we are for sure looking at a full blown RBBC no?

I think you may be getting ahead of yourself....

I would go with Hardesty over Nicks..Hardesty will probably get a minimum of 5 catches, plus his carries, which is probably close to Nicks' ceiling today. (PPR league.) I could be completely wrong about Nicks, but I don't stick to the golden rule of "always start your studs" like some others do.

Very smart move  - Hardesty is the definition of fool's gold. Going back to college, the kid has been injured constantly. Not to mention, he looked less than 100% all throughout the preseason.I wouldn't be surprised to see the ultra-speedy Armond Smith take over the backup role after today. He's extremely underrated...

Doubtful this becomes a full blown RBBC, but if Hardesty does tear it up, you can bet he will be used a lot more frequently down the stretch, given that CLE will want to prevent Hillis from wearing down as much as he did last season.
