Tomlinson aggravates injury Week 2

(TheHuddle) The San Diego Union-Tribune, reports Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson aggravated his turf toe injury late in the second quarter during the team's Week 2 game. "It tightened up some, swelled up a little bit," Tomlinson said. "The one thing I'm happy about is it didn't get any worse after the game. I don't feel any worse than I did last week after the game, which shows it is improving and healing."
Analysis: Tomlinson was limited to a dozen touches in the Chargers' Week 2 loss to Denver, with Darren Sproles providing a spark in his absence. Toe injuries have been known to linger, especially in backs and receivers, so LT is far from out of the woods. The fact that he's optimistic is somewhat reassuring, but we still have yet to see the LT fantasy owners were expecting when making him the first overall selection.
Gates aggravated injury Week 2?

(TheHuddle) The San Diego Union-Tribune reports San Diego Chargers TE Antonio Gates (toe), who played sparingly in Week 2, left wearing only a sandal on his left foot.
Analysis: This is more bad news for a team that has suffered two devastating losses to start the season. Gates looked good in the short amount of time he played, but the pain he's having to play through may have reached the intolerable level. We'll keep an eye on him throughout the week.
