More of the same from the Pride, Power, Pinstripes (1 Viewer)

Only part I'm confused about is the whole "more of the same" part. When has another Yankee ever signed an autograph with the phrase "Red Sox suck!" alongside it? Seems pretty isolated to me, no? I don't get it when people attack the Yankees for having no class. As far as I can tell, while there have been a few bad eggs along the way for both sides (Sheffield, Karim Garcia, Pedro, Urbina), in general both teams have a ton of classy and professional guys.

Please tell me youre joking wilked
yes, the title was tongue in cheek. It is classless, and I would be pissed if Pedroia / Ellsbury pulled that #### at Yankees stadium. Pretty d### to do that to a 10 year old. But I agree, it is an issue with Shelby and should be handled directly with him

Meh.. I was looking for the next Camera-Gate or something with that title...

Heck, I don't even know if I can trust that little Boston Cheater, he probably made this up as an attempt to divert attention.

Just backs up what I said in the Pats thread yesterday

Boston sports fans = the biggest load of ####### CRYBABIES on the planet

Nice lesson the parent is teaching that kid.

Don't find the humor. Find the fault. Then cry about it. Now, do your sad face and let Daddy take a picture of it. Then, we tell everybody how mean he is!

After all, baseball, and especially autographs, are SERIOUS business, son.

lol, the kid's 10  cut him a little slack...
It's not the kid. It's the parent that would orchestrate such a thing. Nice lesson. He could have taken a totally different tack -- something like loyalty, humor and whatnot.Instead, he'll raise what he is I'm sure.

To be perfectly honest with you, I find it hard to believe the story as it is.

Shelley is a big goofy ####### for sure, but given that we've never heard another story of this, I have to wonder if it wasn't solicitied or a requested personalization for this purpose.

Players do get some coaching on how to handle stuff now, and this guy is a baseball lifer.

I can accept and believe it went down like the kid says, especially with a goofball like Duncan, but I'd also like to hear some more particulars on this, because I find it somewhat farfetched to think he' d write that down on one person's autograph for no reason.

Now 10 more kids may come out with the same story tomorrow and we'll know, but its not even like it was a teenager, its a little guy, why would you write this if there wasn't some give and take or something?

Regardless, I'm sure he'll get some reprimand, a three figure fine or something. Even goaded into it, there are some things you shouldn't do.

I wasn't just talking about him ;)
I don't think the parents should be blamed for making it publicHell, I am sure the kid will get a bat signed by the team, or something out of it
:lmao:Great, reward 'em. Kid's on his way, no doubt.

Now you're outraged?A lot of guys won't sign autographs for kids in the opponents' gear. This whiner-in-training should be happy he got anything. Besides, 10 is plenty old enough to face the harsh realities of Yankees vs. Sox. It's not like the kid is 4.
