Morgan Burnett or Jamal Adams??? (1 Viewer)

Kinda of minor trade but I'm really torn on what to do, trade is on MFL

Been offered a 2nd round pick for Morgan Burnett who's in the last year of his contract at 2.8 mill. Currently have Eric Reid, Sean Davis at Safety. Jamal Adams is on my practice squad at 2.5 mill.

So basically I'll slot Jamal Adams into Burnetts spot. Problem is I'm in win now mode and really like Burnett, trying to gauge the downgrade to Adams.

How many DB do you start?  What is your depth?  How many teams are in your league?  What are your full (offense and defense) lineup requirements?  How does "last year of his contract" work for Burnett?  What DB's are on the waiver wire?  Is the 2nd this year?  Next?  2024?

Without any of that other info I would take a 2nd for him.  It's easy to find DB's and 2nd round picks are a lot harder to come by.

We need to start 6 IDP Players

Two most popular based on our scoring

1DE, 3LB, 2S or 2DE, 3LB and 1 S

Last year of his contract on Burnett means he hit's UFA and the open market. I can't retain him.

It's a 12 team league, right now I'm counting Jamal Adams as a redshirt, I think Adams is probably better than any DB on the WW. The top 3 on the WW based on last years scoring are Casey Hayward, Daniel Sorenson, Marcus Cooper and DJ Swearinger.

The 2nd round pick would be 2018 Draft. Our draft only consists of NFL rookies coming into the league. Its a Dynasty league.

That is a no-brainer.  Burnett is easily replaced by Reid and there are probably a dozen studs on waivers.  That 2nd is far more valuable.  What rounds are DB's generally drafted in in your league?

Well the draft is only rookies, I selected the first one this year grabbing Adams at the 2nd of the 2nd round. Laregly because I didnt't pick in the 4th/5th rounds. I grabbed Adams and Rueben Foster back to back end of the 2nd round.

Should have mentioned too we can start S or DB, they are interchangeable.

I think that is an easy trade to accept.  DB's are really easy to find and I assume based on your starting requirements that you have to start at least 1 DB.  All you said was you had 6 starting IDP's and gave typical lineup arrangements.  You didn't specifically say you had to start a DB.  Regardless of that answer, the maximum DB's you "have" to play is 1 so Burnett will be very easy to replace.  Make the trade.
