Moss to..... (1 Viewer)

Makes sense. Moss is just the type of big play, deep WR their passing game depends on and which they just lost when Britt went down. Titans are also a team that prides themselves on the idea that they can keep knuckleheads in check.
I hope Moss has a 200 yard 3 score game like Britt did. He has sucked balls so far this season.

The Titans have already outscored their opponents by more points than anyone else in the league. They're arguably the best team in the league now. Not good news for NYJ, NE, MIA, IND, HOU, PIT, BAL or any of the teams out west.
:bye:  :goodposting: Should have been here when they passed him up for Kevin Dyson. Steve McNair would have brought them a SB with Moss in tow. Oh well...better late than never. And they do have a grown man coaching them. I'd like to thank my least favorite coach for giving a present to my most favorite coach.

:goodposting: If they get the motivated Moss, this is a great deal. If they get the same Moss that was in New England and Minnesota this year, he will be a good pickup for the team since he will open up other playmakers. But for his stats, I will be surprised if he is still a WR1...remains to be seen as he might just come back with the chip on his shoulder again, like when he arrived in New England.

Tenn is a great landing spot for Moss in TD heavy leagues. A matter of fact, I couldn't think of a better spot (other than NE- which was never going to happen).

1) Teams will have to pick their poison with Johnson/Moss.

2) Tenn has a vertical offense.

3) Young has the arm to get it to Moss.

4) Young's scrambling ability will extend plays and allow Moss more time to improvise to get open.

5) Moss was never a PPR machine this year, so the fact that Tenn doesn't pass that many times/game is irrelevant.

6) The kicker is that Tennessee's schedule is really really easy the rest of the way.

If Moss truly wants to play football and give 100%, there couldn't have been a better situation (besides for NE).

is anyone else concerned that Vince has not been the most stable guy, not perfomance wise but, i dunno, emotionally, and maybe Moss and him is a bad combo?

I hope not, but it concerns me.

I think we need to hold off on saying Moss is a great fit anywhere right now. He was catching two passes a game with a superstar QB and didn't fare much better on a team with a superstar RB. And while Favre clearly has declined, I'm not sure he's declined to the point where either Young or Collins are better QBs.
I guess we about to see if Moss > Britt

He's basically auditioning for millions of dollars- not that he wasn't with Minnesota- but they dropping him and 21 other teams passing on him at a discounted price has to make an impact on him...... Even jerks get "it" every once in awhile, so lets hope he sees the reality of his situation and plays all out for rest of the season.

As a CJ3 Owner who was getting a bit uneasy about his production thus far this year... I'm very, very pleased....

michaelombardi:xxx is perfect for Moss. Play action pass team and deep passing team. xxx has to be happy
I've heard that before...let me see when...oh yea, 3 weeks ago.
System is better there for Moss - didn't fit with the West Coast O Minny runs. Titans love to throw the deep ball (even with Britt out they were taking deep shots down the field last week) and are a better team overall than the Vikes. Titans and Vikes have the 2 best RB's in the league so that's a wash....but I'd take Vince Young/KCollins over Tavaris. Titans have a better Defense and a 10 times better coach. Moss has to be happy. I bet Moss respects Fisher - whereas Chilly has lost his team it sounds like.

IMO, anyone that thinks Tenn is a bad fit for Moss has lost their marbles, just look at what Britt was able to do prior to his injury. Also as previously mentioned, Houston secondary twice more including playoffs, could be big win for distraught Moss owners. (If he decides he is ready to play)
This remains to be seen but Britt is still trying to get established, so he is motivated. I have not seen that from Moss since he set the TD record.

favre has been far worse than vy and kc. some have argued convincingly hes been the worst qb in the league. hes certainly the worst every game starter.

I agree with packer as well. These things never work out the way we dream them up. (CJ owner)
