So what NFL team would someone have to pay you to watch? If you have no interest in the game (fantasy, gambling, etc) which team would turn away from the fastest or know that you will fall alseep to.

I chose Carolina Panthers.... and I'm a Panther homer. The offensive and defensive playcalling is atrocious. Dan Henning and Mike Turgovac come up with maybe 1 or 2 games a year where you go "Wow, this team rocks.", then the rest of the games, the "rock" you to sleep.

I voted Texans - but they are only boring if their offensive line can't hold up and they throw nothing but dink passes.

I voted OTHER.............as I hate the Cowpukes. It's a HOU vs DAL thing down here. Either way, you'd have to pay me to sit thru an entire game.

My hatred stems from how Jerry Jones treated the HOF coach, Tom Landry, when he took over the Cowpukes............it disgusted me to no end and have hated them ever since.

The Browns are extreme vanilla on offense and just good enough on defense to keep the opponent's offense boring, too. They win this in a cakewalk.

:loco: at the Cowboys being boring.

Hatred is at least something. Looking for the teams that do nothing for ya.

It's Jacksonville all day long. They could put up big #'s but they have pathetic playcalling and no QB.

The Browns flat out suck so they can't be considered boring when you have no ability to put up #'s.

Totally agree. Jax is like watching paint dry. Run 1st-run 2nd-incomplete/short completion 3rd - punt 4th and play defense.

The NY Giants. I'd rather watch grass grow.

their tailgates are even worse, nothing but a bunch of half dead raisins with a death grip on their season tickets they've had for the last 1000 years, sipping port wine and sharing stories of the glory years when Y.A. Tittle used to play at the polo grounds.

You forgot the Lions.
They aren't boring, they are comical. Constantly panning over to maranelli and his cluless look. Then pan to martz and you get his clueless look. Heck, they inserted a QB as a WR and when the ball was snapped McCown was looking the other way and stood at the LOS as the ball was snapped. That's funny.

Voted Vikes

Browns and Raiders are close.

The Browns have Braylon Edwards who is somewhat interesting and the Raiders implosion is mildly watchable.

The Vikes are as plain vanilla as you can get. a strong no-name D and a weak no-name offense.

5 TD passes in the first 10 games? wow

where's the option for the Redskins?
Wow, I totally missed that one. May be because, there is not a fantasy player worth watching on that team. They are definately worthy of the top honors. I change my vote. I never watch their games because I am trying to stay awake. WINNER. Redskins are the most boring.

The Raiders are anything if boring to watch. When's the last time you turned your eyes away from a :tfp: ?

If I had "no interest in the game whatsoever" I'd probably turn away the Browns first because their uniforms connote blandness.

At that though, I'd say the most boring team to watch is the Bucs. Very conservative playcalling because of the rookie QB, plus mounting D injuries that make this team just stagnant. They aren't getting the big play on offense and they aren't creating turnovers on Defense.

Biased answer for me though, since I have to watch the Bucs games, being a fan.

I voted Texans and I am a Texans fan. I swear, I jsut cannot keep my eyes open throughout an entire Texans game; Snooze City.

I usually can watch any team..but the Browns may be the most boring team I have ever seen play.

The Browns are far from boring - every time I turn around they do something exciting. Hiring and firing coaches. Bringing in Butch Davis from rebuilding the U. Fans throwing bottles at the team. Stud players wiping out on motorcycles and ruining their careers. Ownership changes. Fights between teammates on the sidelines.

Boring? No. Not the word I'd use.

Browns, Redskins, Oakland....in that order

Oakland would be number 1, but it's always exciting to see how many turnovers Aaron Brooks will have

the last 3 weeks it has suprisingly been the St. Louis Rams. They have not even attempted a pass longer than 20 yards down the field. Quick slant left, quick slant right - has anyone seen Tory Holt and Mark Bulger? They went missing and took my playoff chances with them.

Huge Bronco fan here. I voted for Other (Broncos). I have had a terrible time watching them this season. I have fallen asleep in at least 2 games this year. (and the were wins) I hope Jay Cutler brings some excitement back to my favorite team.

How can people think that the Bills are the most boring team? They consistently have huge kick returns, big plays in the passing game and defensive TDs.

They have also had 3 great finishes to games.

To me the ingredients of being the most boring team to watch are:

nothing stands out about the team, there's nothing they're really good at
little changes about this team - they are always the way they are (both in terms of how good, and style of play)
their style of play is boring
they have no stars or particularly fun players to watch
they have no players who are valuable from a fantasy perspective - which would make them more fun to watch
they have no up-and-coming, young players that are interesting to watchCleveland is pretty good on the first 4 items. I think they are not so bad on the last 2, though, with Winslow and Edwards.

I chose the Jets because I think the only thing they've got going for them is they do tend to be in some close games, and I guess there's some minor fantasy interest in Coles and Cotchery. But there's really not much to get excited about.

The Raiders would also be a fair choice - but they do make changes and if I had to guess - who would I rather watch 3 years from now - I'd guess the Raiders over the Jets, because I think the Jets will be similar to how they are now, and with the Raiders I'm less sure.

For those mentioning the Redskins - I find that hard to believe. I mean - obviously they're 4-7 this year and probably not a joy to watch. And the offense is overly conservative a lot of the time. But - they did win a playoff game last year, and have a number of interesting players to watch - Portis, Santana Moss, Sean Taylor, Cooley and maybe now Campbell. You might hate the owner, but he's not boring.

I'm a big Vikes fan and have watched every game - or moreso I tried to. But after getting to watch CPep, Moss, Carter, Smith, and Griffith the past few seasons I got spoiled with the "flashy" plays they made.

Now, their offense is a methodic run-run-pass. Chester Taylor, their best player by far, is a solid runner but is by no means flashy. Won't break and ankle like LT or Tiki, won't punish a safety like LJ or Gore. Brad Johnson has a weak arm. Williamson is flashy but he can't catch, so we settle for Taylor (pure route runner), Wiggins (a TE), and mediocre guys like McMullen and Johnson. Really only playmaker is M-Rob.

On defense we stop the run, pure and simple. Makes for a lot of 1 yard gains. Our secondary isn't fast enough to make plays, so we wait for them to catch the ball then make the tackle.

In general the Vikes look for a grounded out dogfight. Boring.

Was happy to see the Browns winning this vote. They popped in my head immediately. They don't do anything right. Time to shake some things up in Cleveland. They clearly need a QB so I guess they'll be going after one in the draft this year. I hope Brady Quinn lands there.

This is where I got the idea. I was a season ticketholder the first couple of years, but worked moved me to the Dallas area so i go to a sportsbar to watch the Texans every week. I spend on average about $25 bucks a week depending on whether or not my wife joins. If I did not have a connection to the Texans, I would not watch them unless it was the only game on or I had bet/fantasy interest in the game. I realized that I am spending my money to watch a generic QB, one of the few good WRs in America w/o an attitude or personality, and an overall system that is a poor ripoff of Denver. Added on top of Houston's boredom over the last three weeks the Texans have played the Jags, Bills, Jets and have the Raiders waiting in the wings. In other words, the opposition has also been teams that make my list of basically uninteresting football. Also, while there yesterday, I talked with a Vikings fan who could not even get excited over a win because the team was so generic.
