Most Misspelled Player Names (1 Viewer)

Seeing the rash of misspellings of Matt Leinart's name on the board this week, I thought I'd put together a list of some of the most frequent ones I've seen (offensive players) and throw it out there as a poll (first poll I've ever set up, BTW ) to learn which ones get misspelled the most.

Since I can only have 15 names in the poll, I left out the following that I've seen:

Berrian, Bernard (Berrien)

Cartwright, Rock (Cartright)

Chatman, Antonio (Chapman)

Fisher, Tony (Fischer)

Griffin, Quentin (Griffith)

McCardell, Keenan (McKardell)

McCareins, Justin (McCariens)

McMichael, Randy (McMicheal)

Peterson, Adrian (Petersen)

Stokley, Brandon (Stokely)

Walter, Andrew (Walters)

I've left out first names too since I could come up with a whole bunch of those with all the misspellings of Shaun/Shawn, DeShaun/DeShawn, Keyshawn/Keyshaun, Cedric/Cedrick, Antwaan/Antowain/Antwoine, Marc/Mark, Steven/Stephen, Reuben/Ruben, Peyton/Payton, Duce/Deuce, Domanick/Dominic, Plaxico/Plexico, Kelly/Kelley, Alge/Algae, etc.

I've also intentionally left off most of the really tough to spell names like Manumaleuna, Tuiasosopo, Echemandu, Ayanbadejo, Houshmandzadeh. This poll is for names we really ought to be able to spell after reading them so often in posts, news stories, and lists, but still don't.

Also, please don't be offended if you are one of the regular name-wreckers. This is just a little bit of silliness meant for fun and not to impugn anyone's intelligence.

So, what names have you seen butchered the most? Feel free to add any I've left out.

I said in my original post I disregarded 1st names and also clearly difficult names like Houshmandzadeh. Might want to re-read that 1st post.

Dillion is another good one, yes.

As far as it being a stupid poll, to each his own. There's a lot of fluff on this board.

Along with re-signed and resigned, I'd put 'definAtely' way up there as one of the predominant misspellings of common words that make me .

Good thing no one's holding a gun to her head, 'cause you just blew it again. I thought Jurevicius was the name that would win this thing. I see it spelled wrong a lot more than right. Looks like Ben will have another major award to add to his Super Bowl win though. The coveted 'Most Misspelled' award.

On a side note, I crack up at the irony whenever I see the phrase "Your an idiot."
