MSNBC panelists make fun of Romney's black grandchild (1 Viewer)

So we are suppose to be offended by Santa being white, but not by the mocking of a black child for having the nerve to be adapted by white parents?
Trust mx to come on in and get the analogies dead wrong!
Hence the nickname wrong_mx.
Wrong? What is wrong? In both cases the hard liners on the left look like blathering idiots.
Hard liners on both sides usually do. That's why you have your nickname.

You realize you knocked me out of stupidest FFA poster bracket.

I think the main message here is you're an idiot if you're offended by either one.

Actually, no I didn't. There was a last minute vote that went to you. And it wasn't me, I was the first to vote in that poll and voted for myself. Wrong again jonnay, how odd.

She should make televised apology while wearing blackface. "I apologize for the broad generalizations and the poor taste that was on display the other night. It was inappropriate and wrong. Also, MAAAAAMMY!"

This should be a sign to MSNBC that its probably time to clean house-

@KeithOlbermann Any adults in charge over there?

Keith Olbermann is throwing stones about out-of-bounds comments on a "news" show?

"In Scott Brown we have an irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, teabagging supporter of violence against woman and against politicians with whom he disagrees." -- Keith Olbermann

cue the false outrage from the "I Stand With PHIL" crowd.
Another pathetic doosh. First reaction is to go in defense mode for their "side". What a freakin loser.

If people read the story in the OP and become outraged, I don't think the outrage needs to be fake. It does read pretty bad.

I think it's hard to be outraged (outraged!) based on the clip itself. It was supposed to be lighthearted and funny.

I might fire the white guy who talked about the diversity in the Republican party. In my book, it's perfectly okay to say racially insensitive things if they are funny. It's also perfectly fine to say unfunny things if they aren't racially insensitive. But to say something that's stupid, offensive, and unfunny ... if that's a regular thing for him, he has no business being on TV.

It was funny. Can they let that happen? No, they shouldn't let that happen on the air. But it bent, it didn't break.

And anybody suggesting the kid was adopted for a potential political upside is a whack-a-doodle.

People on the left see it as no big deal. People on the right don't like it. I am independent so i see it without the politics blinders on and what it is is disgusting.

Nobody is suggesting that it was. Learn to read.

It's just like the officiating in games. All the players, coaches, and fans ask is that they be consistent. If you're calling the 7 yard chuck, call it for both sides.

If we're going to be PC, then it can't just be one side that has to be PC. I still haven't heard a peep about this on the main news channels. Should it be? Not really. Neither should a myriad of other molehills of Republican statements that suddenly became mountains (binders full of women is the classic example)

Next time you read about a scandal that involves a Democrat, look real hard to see if they mention the party he or she is with. If it's a Republican, it'll be in the first sentence.

You are also an alias that disappeared for a long time after the 2012 November election.

That probably isn't even the 30th worst Keith Olbermann quote you can pull from his time at MSNBC.

Not really. He still has an axe to grind with the network.
MSNBC makes Keith Olbermann look moderate these days. Which is scary as ####!
I know I'm terrified.
We know Homer, your brother got picture with Obama. Set for life!

I'd like to respond in depth, but I have all these Obama dollars to roll around in.

Melissa Harris-Perry apologized Tuesday for a controversial segment on her show about Mitt Romney's adopted grandson, Kieran, who is black.

The MSNBC host came under fire after joking about a photo of the Romney family that showed Romney holding his newest grandson on his knee. During her show Sunday, Harris-Perry had shown the photo and asked her panel for caption ideas. The roundtable joked about the baby being the only black person in the picture.

Harris-Perry tweeted Tuesday, using the hashtag "#MHPapology":

"I am sorry. Without reservation or qualification. I apologize to the Romney family. I work by guiding principle that those who offend do not have the right to tell those they hurt that they [are] wrong for hurting. Therefore, while I meant no offense, I want to immediately apologize to the Romney family for hurting them. As black child born into large white Mormon family I feel familiarity w/ Romney family pic & never meant to suggest otherwise. I apologize to all families built on loving transracial adoptions who feel I degraded their lives or choices."

#MHPapology :lmao: Someone's a little full of herself.
MHP is awful. Never insightful, not the least bit interesting or witty. She's got a terrible lisp to boot. She can't go away fast enough.

It just occurred to me: what if the kid wasn't adopted, but is a love child from one of the slaves on their plantation?

:lmao:

Like flies to dung.

Heard the story earlier today and just knew this thread would be here.
Speaking of dung, Martin Bashir was fired as host on MSNBC a couple weeks ago for being a piece of ####. I don't see a thread yet.
Actually, he was right on the money in his comments.
Yeah, okay.
She compared the debt to slavery. His response, while not really fit for ma and pa Huckleberry, was both contextually appropriate and witty. Obviously, he had to lose his job for it, but she had it coming. Such is life in the NFL.

Do these people still have jobs, or are the liberals exposing themselves for the frauds that they are?

Bad week for NBC. Last night, Natasha Leggero, the co-host with Carson Daly on their New Years Eve show, insulted Pearl Harbor survivors while they both laughed about it. Theyre taking some heat for it today.

Aww man, they cancelled my Romneys Black Grandchild alias!

Only needed it for one joke

"You mean I'm going to stay this color?!"

1) I doubt there is a single person on the planet who cares.

2) Where is this heat taking place?

Thank God they didn't insult Titanic survivors or the #### really would have hit the fan.
