MSW-Mike Sims Walker done in Jax (1 Viewer)

comfortably numb

Had no idea until I read the Jason Hill thread, and didn't see a thread.

The Jaguars told receiver Mike Sims-Walker they were moving on from him. Jaguars general manager Gene Smith informed Sims-Walker, who has been with the Jaguars since they drafted him in 2007.

Sims-Walker said on Twitter:

"It's official. I personally wanna thank all the fans who stuck with me in jacksonville for the last 4 years but sorry to say, my times is up!!"

Didn't see this coming

His fantasy value before this trade, in dynasty:

MSW > Montario Hardesty

MSW > Jordy Nelson

Two recent trades I pulled off last week. He's just so inconsistent. Now if he lands in an ATL type situation, I'd think his value would increase. Talented kid, but something's not right.

Mike Thomas value gets a bump as does Jason Hill's. I think Marcedes value stays about the same.

I could see taking a late round flyer on him next year in the right situation. Obviously health and banana fingers are an issue, but we've seen what he's capable of if he gets in a groove.

Another soon-to-be free agent the Jaguars would like to have in their future is punter Adam Podlesh, but those negotiations have not begun.Other players who will become free agents upon conclusion of this CBA year include linebackers Justin Durant and Kirk Morrison, safety Sean Considine and quarterback Trent Edwards.
So that means out of the draft 4 years ago (guys in their prime), the Jags have a an average at best guard.

anyone have any guesses where he could end up?

Plenty of opportunities for MSW:

Seattle: need a playmaker across from BMW. Seems like Tate is a ways away

Miami: across from his former college teammate/roommate/best man in wedding Brandon Marshall

New England: they seem to resurrect free agent WR's careers

NYJ: cheaper alternative to Bray and Holmes

Rams: bad need of WR1

Balt: Mason is better suited for WR3 role at this point in his career

KC: Badly need someone opposite D Bowe

Washington: Steps into WR1 role

Vikes: If Rice is leaving

ATL: He's much more talented than Jenkins

Those are all good opportunities. This seems like a great time to buy low on a young WR. If he ever gets over the injuries, he's got the talent and hopefully opportunity to have a nice uptick in dynasty value.

Not being a homer, but I can see him landing in TEN. He and Chris Johnson are very close friends, and of course TEN needs WRs. Just my .02

any value in Tiquan Underwood?

Mike Thomas is boviously the main guy now

They Draft one of Julio or AJ??? Seems to be Del Rio always went after big Stiffs like Reggie Williams

...and we all know that he's already got some girls in Seattle...

Raiders already being mentioned as interested.

(KFFL) The Oakland Raiders may show interest in Jacksonville Jaguars impending free-agent WR Mike Sims-Walker when free agency begins, reports Bill Williamson, of ESPN.com.

When looking back at the James Harris drafts last year's 8-8 record seems amazing. I wonder if they expect Underwood or Jason Hill to take MSW's place or if they are going to draft a WR early. They have no chance at the big 2 without trading up, but there will be some interesting guys available in the 2nd round.

Agreed. In reality, they shouldn't have had more than four or five wins. I thought the staff did a great job last year.
