The school is named for Colonel Howard Nichols, a Colonel in the armed forces during World War II. Colonel Nichols was a local contractor following the war. He built many of the houses in the Nichols School area. He donated the land for the school to Bakersfield City School District. The school opened in 1961. Colonel Nichols often attended performances by Nichols School children.

That fella looks short bussed.I've seen Tanner for about 10 seconds on Jeopardy. Not enough to know here, but I think he would have been a pretty self aware kid and not overly nerdy/dorky. My vote is kid nearest the hot teacher. I have back ups. None of them your choice.
