My brother, a lifelong Bengals fan, has vowed to become a Steelers fan (1 Viewer)

Kinda shows his character that when the going gets tough the tough gets going. If he is married or has a dog they better walk on egg shells around this guy or he is gone. With that attitude the Bengals will not miss him as a fan :goodposting: . All in all there is no better team for this "guy" to be a fan of than Pittsburgh. Go 0-16 Cincy he won't be missed.
You take football way too seriously. It's a recreational activity. If you don't like rooting for a team, why would you continue?

Although this guy is going overboard, talking about walking on egg shells etc... is ridiculous. However, his overall point is sort of correct in that you can't force yourself to become a fan of one team or another. The Steelers have enough quality home grown fans.........they don't need an AWOL Bengal fan who'll probably jump ship if the Bengals ever become good again.

Weak :lmao: Either stick with your team or don't have a team. You can't just choose another team because your team sucks. The only acceptable circumstance where you can change allegiances is if your team moves out of your city.
:penalty: Dead wrong. Loyalty is a 2-way street. I have a legal file folder filled with articles proving Mike Brown's treachery and ineptitude. Seriously. It hasn't been updated in about five years, but it's at least four inches thick.I stopped rooting for that embarrassing, incompetent loser franchise ten years ago, and I haven't come close to regretting it. They're dead to me.
:lmao: weak..you're a fair-weather fan...suck it upI could maybe understand if you were a Lions fan, but your team has been to two superbowls and has played its fair share of postseason games over the past 25 years.....you want to talk about heartache and heartbreak, take at look at the Jets over the past 25 seasons..inept front office, poor coaching,etc..I live in the northern NJ area, you'll NEVER hear of any Jets fan EVER deserting their team or switching over to the Giants..but to say your team is dead to you now, is pretty weak considering what some other fans are going through

:bye: Weak and ignorant. Since Paul Brown died, the Bengals have been the most embarrassing and inept franchise in football, and the the Lions and Cardinals are the only teams that come close. The Jets?! Come on. . .

Let's hear about all of the times the Jets started the season 0-7.

Let's hear about the Jets not having more than one scout because the owner is still stuck in the 50s.

Let's hear about the Jets sticking with a roster full of reprobates.

Let's hear about the Jets being the cheapest franchise in football.

You have no idea about Mike Brown and the Bengals over the past 18 years. Just admit it.

I have been a life-long Bengal fan, but after watching the first quarter and a half of the 1st pre-season game this year against the Packers this year - I knew this season was a lost cause - completely inept at the fundamentals of the game. This is clearly a team in need of a new direction in all phases from the coaches to the front office - If Brown won't step aside, the least he could do is get Katie and her husband out of the way.

While I won't switch teams - I emotionally divested myself from the Bengals after that 1st preseason game. One of the better decisions I have made in a while.
