my conspiracy theorist co-workers (1 Viewer)

I should have started this a long time ago. In this thread, I will attempt to keep track of various conspiracies held by some of my co-workers - two guys, let's call them Hanz and Franz.

Both Hanz and Franz are competent, normal guys. Been working at this company for 5-10 years, wife, kids, stable, good at their jobs. Franz enjoyed a long career in the Navy, he is now a procurement manager. Hanz is a product manager, who has worked in marketing departments from several fortune 500 companies. Both of these guys share some beliefs that most of us consider "out there". One of my favorite things to do at work is push them just a little bit to get a good rant going, sit back, and enjoy the show.

Tomorrow we have to wear business casual so we can take an office-picture. That sounds normal, right? Except the purpose of the picture is to celebrate the International Day of Tolerance, which is, of course, promoted by the UN and is another sign of the UN trying to force their laws on us. somehow having to wear business casual on a Thursday is the first step towards the UN imposing a New World Order.

Next, the topic turned to ebola. Apparently the ebola vaccine is owned by Monsanto, who recently had a 7 million dollar grant to study ebola in Sierra Leone, so you know it was Monsanto that released ebola to the public.

Finally, the woman in charge of the IMF recently gave a speech where she led off by discussing numerology, so that's pretty compelling too.

That's it from today, but previous discussions are related to the occult's involvement with pretty much all historical world leaders, the rise of Zionism and the Jewish nation/state and the Kabbalah, pretty much anything to do with the Rothschields, the World Grid theory, Monsanto, the Free Masons, who really killed JFK (it was the bankers), and fluoride.

I will update this thread as time goes by as a way to document their theories and see if anything changes.

I've come to believe that people believe in conspiracies for the same reason that other people believe in religion: because they are terrified to accept the fact that almost everything that happens in life is due to dumb luck. They won't except chaos; there has to be some kind of order out there, a reason for everything that goes on.

The IMF thing is particularly stupid since the date they were all pointing to for her occult prophesy has already passed.

What are their views on Shape-Shifting alien reptiles?

A somewhat different version of this theory maintains that humanity is actually under the control of shape-shifting alien reptiles, who require periodic ingestion of human blood to maintain their human appearance. David Icke has been a devoted proponent of this theory.[133] According to Icke, the Bush family and the British Royal Family are actually such creatures, and Diana, Princess of Wales was aware of this, presumably relating to her death. Margaret Thatcher is also believed to have been an important figure in the reptilian secret army.[133] David Icke's theory, which encompasses many other conspiracy theories, is that humanity is actually under the reptilians; with evidence ranging from Sumerian tablets describing the "Anunnaki" (which he translates as "those who from heaven to earth came"), to the serpent in the Biblical Garden of Eden, to child abuse and water fluoridation.

I no longer discount any conspiracy theorists. After what has been revealed about our government over the last 4-5 years, and society as a whole, pretty much anything is possible now.

I mean, if a person 5 years ago said "The government is spying on me, reading my emails, and recording all my cellphone calls indefinitely, my city police force is tracking my car with their spy cameras whenever I move, Facebook is experimenting on me, OKCupid is messing with my private life just to see what happens, my computer is controlled by a cabal of Russian gangsters, Goldman Sachs is using high-speed computers to rig the stock market and the government is playing along," we'd have called them crazy. Now that's just anyone who's read a newspaper this week.

Who do they think killed JFK?
it boils down to this: a shadowy group loosely associated with the Free-masons and/or Rothschields control the worlds money supply. Kennedy was doing something related to upending their money control, so they took him out. LBJ reversed Kennedy's course, which paved the way for whatever happened in the early 70's. I don't really understand it all, being neither a conspiracy guy nor an economics guy, but it has to do with Kennedy upsetting large, multi-national banking families.

Must be a generational thing, but I'm 28 and I have always assumed the government was spying on us and tracking us in some way. Especially after 9/11.

yeah, I don't think that's much of a conspiracy. To me, a conspiracy is when an unknown group of people are conspiring to control your life without you knowing about it - the UN, the free-masons, the illuminati, the G7, some secret shadow government, lizard people, etc.

I believe he signed an executive order issuing like $4 billion in US Notes (as opposed to Federal Reserve Notes). You will still run across an occassional 1963 $5 bills with red ink on the top that says US Note.

Arguably a conspiracy is any group of people who secretly act together to commit a crime.

What you just described - is a conspiracy.

This doesn't really follow.

Hell I don't think it was until about 1967-68 that the government even had to have a warrant to tap you phones.

I work with 2 guys that are very professional and good at their jobs, but like your coworkers they are into every possible conspiracy out there. They leave all kinds on nonsense literature in the break room. Interesting one is ultra conservative while the other is ultra liberal so they don't along at all and have totally opposite whacko ideas.

They both have these radical ideas about food and the environment. When the science teachers try to explain to them why scientifically their ideas don't hold up, they just roll their eyes and say that the science teachers just don't get it. Neither has any basic grasp of chemistry what so ever. It's pretty laughable.

The NSA's recent behavior by definition operates as a conspiracy, but many people justify their behavior by saying they have to behave that way in order to protect national security.

It's too bad Kennedy died, because he went on record stating such an argument to be :bs: :

"We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it.... And there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will be seized upon those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of official censorship and concealment. That I do not intend to permit to the extent that it is in my control." - John F. Kennedy.

have conspiracy theorism gotten worse lately? I don't remember folks holding onto beliefs like this 10 years ago, but I ran with a different crowd then...

What we would have locked a guy in a padded room for believing 10 years ago, we now accept as fact. Therefore, I am hesitant to label any belief as "crazy", in a few years we might all find out it's true and not even care about it.

So basically, the "V" TV show from the 80s was a documentary.

Huh? Are you still talking about the NSA thing??

yes and Margaret Thatcher is the main character.

there is a Chris bosh joke to be made here but cant think.

There has been a lot of stuff declassified that gives plausibility to many conspiracy theories. The government has done & continues to do plenty of things that makes it impossible to blindly trust anything they say.

Here are just a few loads of bs they have fed us,

-IRS hard drives all got wiped

-Benghazi was caused by an anti-muslim YouTube

-the Boston bombers friend pretty much got murdered by the FBI

-Saddam had WMDs.

How can anyone 100% believe everything the government tells us? I see nothing wrong in questioning things.

great post.

The Monsonto Ebola thing is kind of out there. However, I thought it was kind of coincidental that there is supposed to be a vaccine ready in a month after the biggest known outbreak happens. Did they just start working on it or something?

have conspiracy theorism gotten worse lately? I don't remember folks holding onto beliefs like this 10 years ago, but I ran with a different crowd then...
Internet increases broadcast ability of fringe groups. Expanded cable channels run with ancient aliens, ghosts, unexplained phenomena shows all the time, the the revelations Sarnoff listed above. Yes, it's gotten more 'mainstream'.

what about Project MKUltra, the CIA mind control program from the 60's that happened well over 100 years ago and now has stopped happening.

Yes, it used to be mainly on late night AM radio shows.

Thank you Art Bell.

I was thinking that Roddy Piper movie from the 1980's.

Definitely a mix of the two.

"They" probably had two different storylines made into entertainment vehicles to throw us off the scent.

We've all probably got stuff lying around in our garage that can cure Ebola.

Then again, we probably don't.

10 years ago, Bush knew about 9/11. 20 years ago, Hillary Clinton had Vince Foster murdered. 30 years ago, Reagan asked the Iranians not to free the hostages until he was elected. 40 years ago, LBJ was behind Kennedy's death. 50 years ago, Eisenhower was a secret communist. #### never changes.

Umm, if you disagree with something that I wrote there, do you care to be more specific?

You're basically saying that because there have been conspiracy theories in the past that nothing has changed.

That's bull####.

I will concede that the internet has served as a forum for those that believe in this stuff to communicate with each other. (Although even that wouldn't make Moleculo's question about 10 years accurate- it would be more like 20 years.

But the reasons that people believe in conspiracy theories- that hasn't changed.
