My league just switched from basically a 5X5 to a point based system.

I think the commish went nuts with starting positions and point based system but here is what he has.

starting Positions: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, MI, CI, OF, DH, U and P (6)

Is this scoring system evenly weighed? Does anything stand out to take advantage of? Thanks in advance fellas

The batting categories far outweigh the pitching ones. Draft heavy for batters and dont draft a pitcher until RD 9 or 10.

I have played in point based H2H leagues for 5-6 years now and I saw this strategy employed last year and it worked well for the teams (my team included). This is even more towards batters then any league I have been in so just draft big bats.

A few years ago my dad drafted all SB guys and that worked well for him. He made it to the finals but lost. In these types of leagues OBP is important because you get points every time your guys are on base.

That makes a lot of sense, thank you.

Shameless bump, Anyone know how having MI,CI and a DH factor into a draft. I would imagine best player available would factor in since you can use multiple players from the same position.

Yes, you should always take best player available.
