I did a weekly running list last season, so I figured I'd throw out a preseason list as well. If people want, I might continue doing the weekly list this year as well.

QB Tier 1:
1. Josh Allen
Tier 2:
2. Kyler Murray
3. Lamar Jackson
Tier 3:
4. Justin Herbert
5. Patrick Mahomes
6. Jalen Hurts
Tier 4:
7. Trey Lance, basically Hurts without the top-10 year on the resume.
Tier 5:
8. Joe Burrow
9. Tom Brady
10. Russell Wilson
Tier 6:
11. Dak Prescott, this ranking is entirely dependent on whether he starts running again, with another year removed from his ankle injury. If he does, he should be up a tier, if not, down a tier.
Tier 7:
12. Matthew Stafford
13. Aaron Rodgers
14. Derek Carr
15. Kirk Cousins

RB Tier 1:
1. Jonathan Taylor
2. Christian McCaffrey
3. Derrick Henry
4. Austin Ekeler
5. Dalvin Cook
6. Najee Harris
7. Saquon Barkley
8. Joe Mixon
Tier 2:
9. Leonard Fournette
10. Aaron Jones
11. D'Andre Swift
12. Alvin Kamara
13. Javonte Williams
14. James Conner
Tier 3:
15. Nick Chubb, high floor but its RBBC even if Hunt is out. Better NFL than fantasy.
16. Travis Etienne, I'm not worried about James Robinson being anything more than a short yardage RB, with occasional carries here and there.
Tier 4:
17. Breece Hall
18. Cam Akers
19. Ezekiel Elliott
20. David Montgomery
Tier 5:
21. Elijah Mitchell, has the #1 job on lockdown on a run heavy offense, that said, he added a lot of weight this offseason, and doesn't do much as a pass catcher.
Tier 6:
22. Chase Edmonds
23. AJ Dillon
24. JK Dobbins
25. Clyde Edwards-Helaire
26. Miles Sanders
27. Tony Pollard
Tier 7:
28. Dameon Pierce, this may honestly be too low, but I think Houston is still a really bad offense. Still 300 touches is very much on the table, as Mack and Burkhead are just guys.
29. Kareem Hunt
30. Devin Singletary

WR Tier 1:
1. Justin Jefferson
2. Cooper Kupp
3. Ja'Marr Chase
4. Stefon Diggs
Tier 2:
5. CeeDee Lamb
6. Davante Adams
7. Tee Higgins, good chance that he isn't the Bengals #2, and it's a Fitz/Boldin 1A/1B situation going forward.
8. Deebo Samuel
Tier 3:
9. Tyreek Hill
10. AJ Brown
11. Mike Evans
12. DJ Moore
13. Michael Pittman
14. Keenan Allen
15. Mike Williams
16. Courtland Sutton
17. Hollywood Brown
Tier 4:
18. Terry McLaurin
19. Jaylen Waddle
20. DK Metcalf
21. Diontae Johnson
22. Allen Robinson
Tier 5:
23. Michael Thomas
24. Brandin Cooks
25. Amon-Ra St.Brown
26. Jerry Jeudy
27. JuJu Smith-Schuster
28. Gabriel Davis
29. Rashod Bateman
30. Chris Godwin
31. Elijah Moore
Tier 6:
32. Darnell Mooney, should see high target share in a in heavy offense. TD's seem very capped though.
33. Adam Thielen, #1 redzone target for the Vikings, and I doubt that changes much, but if it does, he's a TD dependent player, on the wrong side of 30.
34. Amari Cooper, he's similar to Mooney at least until Watson shows up, of course unlike Mooney, he seems to be on the way down rather than the way up.
Tier 7:
35. DeAndre Hopkins
36. DeVonta Smith
37. Drake London
38. Hunter Renfrow
39. Kadarius Toney
40. Christian Kirk, despite going from #2/#3 weapon to #1, I'm not seeing Kirk's value raising in Jacksonville.

TE Tier 1:
1. Travis Kelce
2. Mark Andrews
Tier 2:
3. Kyle Pitts, has TE1 overall ceiling. His offense and Kelce/Andrews track record keeps him down here.
Tier 3:
4. Darren Waller
5. George Kittle
Tier 4:
6. Dalton Schultz
7. TJ Hockenson
8. Dallas Goedert
9. Zach Ertz
Tier 5:
10. Dawson Knox, has shown big play ability, but has upside from here, if he takes a bigger role with Beasley/Sanders gone. On the flip side, its possible Davis/McKenzie breakout, and Knox is this year's Tonyan.
Tier 6:
11. Irv Smith
12. Pat Freiermuth
13. David Njoku
Tier 7:
14. Hunter Henry
15. Cole Kmet

Just curious. The Patriots had the second most combined fantasy points scored by their running backs last year. They don't merit a back in the Top 30?

It's possible I'm giving too much credit to Montgomery having a sizable role, but I think it's going to be a 3-man RBBC, more so than a year ago. Stevenson and Harris both just missed the list despite that. If Harris, or more likely Stevenson end up seeing a good share of the passing game work, then I'll need to move that guy up.

I also think NE will be passing more this season, both due to Mac Jones being in year 2, and being needed more as I'm expecting the defense to take a step back, both due to a harder division, and just general decline.

Herbert should be moved up to Tier 2. His oline should be better and he has very good receivers. Plus, he's playing the AFC West 6 times, and LAR, and ARI in game 11. Ditto for Mahomes and Wilson regarding the likelihood of higher scoring games. I'd also put Mahomes and Wilson a tier higher.

Interested to hear how you could have 2 top 7 WR's from the Bengals (Chase and Higgins), but yet Burrow is a Tier 5 QB? That doesn't include Boyd who will get drafted or Hurst who I think can be a serviceable fill-in.

good point. There's a lot of good QB's with legs though.

RB Tier 1:
1. Jonathan Taylor
2. Christian McCaffrey

4. Austin Ekeler
5. Dalvin Cook

15. Nick Chubb,

Thank you for taking the time to compile this.im on the cusp of cutting Robinson and keeping Hollywood instead. My thought was for standard leagues Robinson would be td dependent. I was thinking maybe 5 rushing td's and possibly 1 or 2 pass td's.

Henry was basically lapping the field during the first 8 games last season - even in ppr leagues.

He finished as RB20 in my ppr league last season playing in only 8 games.

I know, but I just see him as much different in PPR than non PPR. He caught 2 balls a game on average last year

Either way, it doesn't specify format so I'd like to know either way.

He makes up for his lack of passing game usage with his rushing yards and TDs. The guy finished 9th in the league in rushing yards in only 8 games. But yes his relative value only increases in standard leagues (not sure non-ppr is really "standard" anymore though).

Agree 100%. Herbert is my #2 QB behind Allen. No way I would take Murray or Jackson over Herbert.

Is this PPR or Standard
.5 PPR, so a bit of a mix

I think the Chargers defense will be much improved, and I think Murray and Jackson's rushing upside gives them a higher ceiling than Herbert or Mahomes.

Lack of rushing for Burrow. Higgins was WR9 on a PPG basis last year. I don't think he needs Burrow to play that much better to get to 7th. Burrow was QB8 last season. I think Boyd produces less than he did a year ago, and its possible Hurst does no more than Uzomah.

I'm really concerned that the Browns may be a dumpster fire, and Hunt is still there, and I think even if Hunt were traded or injured, they'd still have Johnson involved a bunch.

Henry was RB1, by a wide margin, when he went down, and is the overwhelming favorite to lead the league in touches. If Henry kept up that pace, Taylor was still quite a bit behind Henry, and Henry actually was pretty much the same as Taylor as a pass catcher.

TE Tier 1:
1. Travis Kelce

Hollywood is miles ahead of James Robinson in my opinion. Robinson wasn't even a consideration for top-30, probably would be closer to RB50.

How many passing yards are you assuming for Lamar to be QB3? We all know he'll get his rushing yards, but I think a lot of people are projecting his passing based off of last year where they were forced to pass a ton. Not sure that will continue at the same rate this year.

I think 3,700 is reasonable on roughly 500 attempts. Both would be career highs, though below the pace he was on last season.

Lamar started off great in 2021, but then struggled mightily in his last 3 games vs MIA, CLE, and PIT. Have teams figured him out? Plus, he lost Hollywood. And with Huntley, there wan't a big dropoff, and Andrews had monster games. I'd draft Herbert before Lamar

Stafford falls that far in QB ratings with ARobinson added ? wow
I've been buying a ton of Stafford stock in the handful of low $$ BB drafts I've done the past few weeks. Seems to me people have been downgrading him a lot due to the elbow. He might rebound a bit now that he's been back practicing for a bit now.

As a Bills homer, my reaction is: Diggs a bit too high; Davis too low; Knox right on; Singletary too low; Allen WAY too low.

6. Jalen Hurts...too much risk vs the other two in this tier
Tier 4:
7. Trey Lance, basically Hurts without the top-10 year on the resume.
Tier 5:
8. Joe Burrow..(DOUBLE SHOWCASE WINNER!!!)
9. Tom Brady..he's 55 years old, time to have the retirement and gold watch party
10. Russell Wilson

Tier 7:
12. Matthew Stafford
13. Aaron Rodgers
14. Derek Carr...so many good names and opportunities down here in the 8-14 range, foolish to grab a QB too early.
15. Kirk Cousins

Thanks T-Dawg, always look forward to your thoughts going into the season.

Any camp reports that have changed your POV or projections on a player directly?

To be fair to Jackson, the OL went off the rails, and he was recovering from a mysterious illness. I would disagree that Huntley wasn't a big drop off, Huntley had 1 pretty nice game against GB and then sucked from then on. He just locked on to Andrews a ton. I don't think teams have/can figure Lamar out, he's too unique.

Lamar was QB4 when he went down, and just barely behind Herbert/Brady. Jackson was also extremely unlucky to only have 2 rushing TD's, he averaged roughly 1 every 2 games prior to last year.

Any camp reports that have changed your POV or projections on a player directly?
A few guys that I have higher than I did at this time a month ago are:

Trey Lance, been really impressed by his deep ball in the preseason and practice highlights, it brings something to the offense Garoppolo didn't in addition to his wheels.

Chase Edmonds, I was never really impressed by him in Arizona, he seemed cast correctly as a COP RB, but he seems to have run away with the Miami job, and its possible a more outside zone system fits him better. Also, while its possible it goes away with Hill there, Tua has been a pretty checkdown happy QB so far.

Dameon Pierce, I thought he was the 3rd best RB in the draft but was thinking Houston would probably give the vets the first crack. Happy to see smart talent evaluation win out.

Courtland Sutton, very positive camp reports, plus Patrick going down. I think he could be 80% of peak Metcalf, he's just missing the 4.3 speed.

Michael Thomas, every report out of Saints camp is that he looks like the Thomas of old, obviously Payton being gone could be an issue, but there is still top-12 upside if he can stay on field I think, that said, he is one of the few guys I ding due to durability issues.

Amon-Ra St.Brown, something like 40% of Goff's targets are going his way according to beat writers. That's unsustainable, but 30%+ isn't. It's possible he can do a reasonable impression of Goff-era Kupp, especially since we have no timeline on Jameson Williams.

Lastly, I'd say just the Eagles passing game in general. All of their offseason actions, training camp reports, and preseason action, seems to suggest they want to be closer to what they were the first few weeks of last season than what they were down the stretch. I think Hurts, Brown, Goedert and even Smith could all be every week fantasy starters this year, Philly also has arguably the league's easiest schedule, so if I end up stacking guys in drafts, it'll likely be either Eagles or Cardinals.

Thank you for your reply and opinion. I'm leaning towards Brown. The negative with brown is Hopkins comming back and that Arizona really spreads the ball around. I always value rb's more than wr's given the smaller size pool but there's so much uncertainty with the injury and now sharing the rock in a true rbbc. Plus, he would be my rb4. Appreciate the good write up. Keep it comming.
