W - they suck, like I said before

11/18 WASHINGTON

W - they suck

11/22 NY JETS

W - they suck

yeah I know that saying "they suck" isn't the greatest explaination but I don't really need one

easy schedule, Dallas wins the NFC East

anyone care to dispute how this could very easily happen?

The odds of them going 2-0 on the road at Miami and Buffalo are about 10:1.
huh?I am sure that both Miami and Buffalo will be the underdogs...not Dallas10:1?....did you the vegas odds for them to win the Super Bowl is 18:1?you are not very good at calculating odds

pal, they aren't going 2-0 in Miami and Buffalo. The lines will be probably be around a PK, but that's only because the public will bet Dallas. If it was based solely on a predicted final score, both Miami and Buffalo would be favored by 3-4.5 points. I'd take the home team in both games. Dallas has a better chance of losing both of those games, than winning both.

I am just telling you that according to Vegas Dallas is a better team than both of them...you act as though Miami and Buffalo are actually good teams...

This is certainly seeing things half full instead of half empty. Although this could happen, I could also see some of those games going the other way.

That game against Detroit is no gauranteed win, Dallas lost last year at home to Detroit in a must win game.

I think if someone said I'd get a million dollars to pick how many games Dallas will win this year, I'd pick 10. There schedule does appear on the softer side but there are a lot of question marks for them heading into this season.

While I think the 12-4 prediction is a bit lofty, I disagree that they have a better chance of losing both. FWIW.

Vegas puts out odds and lines based on public perception, not based on actual team values. That said, I think Dallas is better than Miami, and probably better than Buffalo. But becaues of home field I give Buffalo the nod, and Dallas @ Miami is a toss up IMO. you act as though home field means nothing...

Dude...please hear me out.I am a HUGE Boys fan! I eat and sleep Cowboys football. It either makes my week or destroys my week....but with that said, proclamations like the one above make ALL Cowboys fans look like dipsh*ts! Lets let the record speak for itself. I too think they will be good this year, but a "they suck, they suck, good but we're better" looks pretty lame. Shhhhhhh....lets just sneak up on 'em, K?

Its not really a reflection of how I "feel". It's more of disappointment in my team each year. I'm sure you feel the same....I always say, "man, the Boys are back! Tuna is gonna whip them into shape, this year they have so much talent, etc, etc." But the truth is....we haven't won a playoff game in 10 years....WE SUCK!Now I know it was just an opinion....and between me and you, I agree! I think we will surprise a lot of people this year. Guess its just....seeing my poor past logic in writing makes me feel bad again all over, haha! Last years playoff game KILLED me.

I agree....I get my hopes up year after year...but the schedule just seems so....EASYI am sure Dallas will lose to a couple teams that they should win but I don't see how it could be possible that this team misses the playoffs....(baring serious injuries)

They will be closer to 4-12

rather than your bold and zany projection of 12-4.

are you trying to tell me they will be underdogs?
Im trying to tell you that your 7 pt favored "forcast" at Buffalo is funny. Haha Funny. Guess how many times the Bills were a 7 pt dog at home last season? how about the last 10 years?
idkthey were 7 - 9 last yearI am going to take a wild guess and say that they lost a few home gamesI am also going to stick with my opinion that the Cowboys will be close to 7 point favorites...6 to 8 points....sounds about right to mewhat do you think?....that the Bills will be favorites in that game?

The Bills were a 7pt (or worse home dog) zero times last season. And drum roll..... 1 time since 1999. So 6-8 points sounds about wrong to me. I'm not certain the Bills will be favorites, but they will be alot closer to being a favorite then being a 7 pt dog.

How old are you? Just curious...

Both Buffalo and NY Jets are legitimate playoff contenders this year. Also, either Green Bay or Detroit is going to challenge Chicago for the NFC North title this year. They may win the games, but these teams are not going to lie down, and there's no way Dallas wins all four.

I think the Cowboys will win their division and could have a high powered offense, but I don't think the Cowboys or their fans should expect to just walk into another team's stadium and think they already have the W locked up. Those are the games where the other team just happens to have everything go their way that day.

pal, they aren't going 2-0 in Miami and Buffalo. The lines will be probably be around a PK, but that's only because the public will bet Dallas. If it was based solely on a predicted final score, both Miami and Buffalo would be favored by 3-4.5 points.
I just wanted to chime in here and say that's unequivocally incorrect. The lines are not inflated because Dallas is America's Team, or was America's Team, or has the hottest cheerleaders. If the lines were inflated, you would expect Dallas to have a bad record ATS over the past 25 years. Not only are they not under .500, they have one of the better ATS records among all teams over that span.

11/29 GREEN BAY

W - Favre is probably the worst QB in the NFL right now

12/9 @ Detroit

W - they suck
Jon Kitna disagrees with you.I'm tempted to email this prediction to the Packers organization so Favre can put this in his locker. Worst QB in football right now

Chiming in on the Buffalo/Dallas debate:

I think the Bills were the better team last year. Sure, Dallas was 9-7 and Buffalo was 7-9, but Buffalo had one of the hardest schedules in the league and Dallas had a relatively easy one. If the Cowboys had to play 2 games against the Patriots instead of the Bucs and the Cardinals, they probably would have gone 7-9 as well.

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/nfl06.htm -- these rankings put the Bills ahead of the Cowboys

The Bills lost just one game to a team with a losing record, and outside of the Titans loss (who were playing incredible football at the time), every other loss was to a playoff team.

A) Many more people would put money on Dallas to win the SB than Buffalo. Therefore the payouts for Buffalo are set much higher (100/1 vs 20/1)B) Buffalo would have a MUCH harder road to the SB than Dallas. Dallas could conceivably cakewalk through the NFC playoffs, while Buffalo would likely have to knock off 3 PREMIER teams in the AFC playoffs, just to get to the Super Bowl.

In any case, using Vegas odds to debate which team is better is pretty ridiculous, IMO.

but uhhh....we are debating who would be the underdogvegas determines who the underdog is

I thought this was all about "vegas" odds

I am using "vegas odds" for the superbowl to help back up the fact that Dallas will be 7 point favorites....and "vegas" (us) thinks that Dallas is 5 times more likley...

sure Buffalo is in the AFC and that does make it harder for them....much harder infact....but not 5 times harder

Stop with the 7 pts at Buffalo. The cowboys weren't a 7 pt favorite at Arizona last year.

How old are you? Just curious...

pal, they aren't going 2-0 in Miami and Buffalo.
Hey Chase,I remember reading an article somewhere, it's been a couple years now since I've read it......it may have been one of those sports books that an online gaming site send you in the mail for free and shows the college and pro games for like that month etc...Anyway, in those they have like an article or two on "smart " gambling or whatever. I do recall reading that there are a couple teams where the line is slightly inflated due to the team/popularity of the team.Dallas was mentioned in that article as one and the other was Green Bay. I know what you're saying, that over the years Dallas has done just fine ATS. I'm not going to try and change your mind and I'm not entirely sure I believe it but I just wanted to mention I did read that in a gambling type book before.

11/29 GREEN BAY

W - Favre is probably the worst QB in the NFL right now

12/9 @ Detroit

W - they suck
I'm tempted to email this prediction to the Packers organization so Favre can put this in his locker. Worst QB in football right now
please tell me 5 starting QBs that are worse than Favre....he is bottom 5.....no question about it
Bet he could handle a snap from center with a playoff game on the line.

in other words....Favre is a bottom 5 QB right nowbecause if Favre and Romo switched places Jerry Jones would slit his throat and Wade would quit
